Own kind....!!

Hey everyone....

I hope you all had a super awesome christmas....
We had a lovely couple of days with family which was so nice, I just love christmas time!!

I have this card to share with you that I made using a beautiful new set from "Uniquely Creative" called "Stand strong pals" along with the co-ordinating die.

This card I made by using the stencil from the "mixed media mini kit" to create a colourful background with distress inks. I then added a sentiment from the same stamp set, coloured and die cut the image I wanted to use and placed it into position with some foam tape. To finish it off I added some UC embellishments.

A simple but pretty card for a beautiful friend!!

Hope you like it, happy crafting everyone and just incase I'm not back before the new year...
Stay safe and have a Happy new year!!

Be Merry....!!

Hi everyone....

I was hoping to get a couple more Christmas cards in before the day was here...
so I am stopping by to share with you this one I created using one of the reindeer from the "Oddball reindeer" set from "Stamping Bella".

I used a fun die from "MFT" called "christmas tree window" for the tree. I then masked off a section, inked it with Hickory smoke distress oxide ink and then stamped over it with the woodgrain background stamp also from MFT.

Underneath the tree I added some heat embossing using "WOW" sensational sage powder.

The fun oddball reindeer I coloured up using Copics and then added him to the card base using some foam tape.

Of course a touch of sequins for some extra bling to finish it off.

Be Merry everyone, Hugz Ashlee.

Christmas blessings....!!

Hi everyone....

Are you all ready for Christmas?... it is fast approaching now!
I finished off all my christmas shopping today, so now I just need to do lots of wrapping and organising my cards for the presents.

I have this Christmas card to share with you using a lovely set from "Uniquely Creative" called "First Christmas". I thought it would be fun to so a special little scene with some spotlight colouring.

First I stamped the images on my card base using some black ink and then added the sentiment below. I stamped and coloured the feature image on a separate piece of copic paper and then mounted it in position with some foam tape.

To finish it off I added some stars with yellow ink and some gold Uniquely embellishments.

Im hoping to maybe get a couple more cards in before the end of the year but just incase I would like to wish you all a very merry christmas and a happy new year!!

MEOW to you....!!

Hey everyone....

I have a card to share with you that I made using my my first ever
"Hello Sweetums" stamp called "Fuzzy felines".

Hello Sweetums is a fairly new company located in Sydney Australia,
run by the lovely owner/illustrator Angie....

As soon as I seen the sneak peek of this Fuzzy felines set I knew it was coming to live with me, I love me some cute cat stamps hehe!!

I created this card by using a "Create a smile stencil" called focal point with some "WOW" embossing powder in the shade Strawberry sundae...

Using a die from Simon says stamp I cut out the love hearts and mounted behind it a piece of photo paper with NUVO shimmer powder on it.

The sentiment "from MEOW to you" is such a sweet sentiment included in the fuzzy felines set. I coloured up a couple of the cute cats with Copic marker and also a little fish that I popped in one of the cats hands.

A touch of sequins finished off the card.

I hope you like my first Hello sweetums card, Im sure I will be making many more with this set!!

Celebrations....!!

Hey everyone....

Today I am sharing with you my very last post for "Create a smile" challenge team...
The term has come to an end but I had an absolute blast designing for CAS this past six months!!

Our theme this fortnight is "Celebrations" and I thought it would be fun to use the "Radio rock" stamp for a birthday celebration!!

I created the background using NUVO shimmer powders on glossy photo paper and then stamped the music stamps and sentiment from the radio rock set using Archival black ink.

I coloured the radio image with Copics and added it to the card with a double layer of foam tape. I love using foam tape behind my images to add dimension.

To finish the card I added some silver embellishments.

I hope you have all enjoyed seeing my Create a smile creations this year, Im so thankful for my time on the team... It sure was fun, Thank you CAS!!

Happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee.

First Christmas....!!

Hi everyone...

Im up on the blog at "Gerda Steiner designs" today and I am sharing a card I made using the super sweet stamp "Baby boy christmas"....

It's a fairly simple card really but I think it makes the image the absolute focal point of the card.

First I coloured the background with some distress ink "Festive berries" and added some "Black soot" around the edges. I spritzed it with water for a splotchy effect, I just love the result you get when you do this technique!!

Using the sentiment included in the stamp set I heat embossed it with some "WOW" white embossing powder.....

The image I coloured with Copics, cut it out and mounted it to the card with a double layer of foam tape for some nice dimension.

To finish off the card some pretty sequins.
There you have an easy christmas card perfect for a new baby's first christmas.

This is my last post for Gerdas blog this year but I will certainly be back with more creations for the blog next year.....

Ice- cream....!!

Hey everyone...

I've got a card to share with you that I made using some "Craftin desert divas" stamps from the "Ice cream treat" set. They are such super adorable little ice-creams!!

I used the "Sorted shapes 1" stencil and inked it with some Versamark so that I could use some "WOW" embossing powder in the colour "Calypso" to create a fun sparkly background behind all the ice-creams... I just love how the embossing piece turned out!!

I used some CDD sequins from the "mermaid lagoon" pack and popped a few on the background, because I love a little bling to finish off my cards.

(All the images I coloured up with Copic)

Haopy crafting everyone, Ill be back soon with more crafty creations!!

Bear hugs....!!

Hello....

Im popping in to share with you another one of my cards I made for the "Uniquely creative" October "Polar pals" stamp & colour kit!!

The polar bears in this set are just the cutest, and perfect for those wintery christmas cards or even a card full of hugs!!

I created a simple card using a distress inked background and products just from the 'Polar pals kit" to give an idea of what you can do with just the stamps from the kit!!

Firstly I masked off a circle on my card base, then picked a couple of blue shades of distress oxide ink. I blended the two colours to create a light ombre look and then stamped some of the snowflake stamps using the same darker blue ink I had used for blending.

I then used the same distress oxide ink pads again to stamp the sentiment.

Coloured the image with Copics, die cut it with the co-ordinating dies that also come in the kit and to finish it off added some pretty UC rhinestones!!

A simple but sweet card...

Mice to meet you.....!!

Evening everyone....

Im stopping in to share with you a sneak peek of another stamp set coming in the new release from "Craftin desert divas" called "Mice to meet you"....

Its is super sweet and has such fun sentiments!!

I created a card with the set to share with you too...

I thought it would be fun to use a larger image in the background with a grey coloured ink and then add the sentiment and sweet little bird as the main focal point!!

The bird is coloured up using copics, and I added a touch of white pen for some little highlights....

I could'nt t go past adding some Craftin desert divas sequins to finish the card off!!

A simple CAS card that is easy to use to create multiple cards quickly I think.

Hope you like it, keep an eye out for more CDD sneak peeks before the new release next week....you won't want to miss it.

Dragon tales....!!

Hey everyone....

There is a brand new realease at "Craftin desert divas" coming very soon, which means I am here to share with you a sneaky peek of one of the sets, well two actually....

This new set is called "Dragon tales" and I just love it, its so much fun!!

I thought it would be cool to create a background using the castle stamp and mask off a feature piece using distress inks and the new CDD stencil....

The sentiment is also a new stamp set coming called "Altogether sentiments" in the new release too, I just love the font and its full of great sentiments for many occasions of cards!!

I coloured up the main image using Copics, my fave colouring medium...

A touch of CDD sequins around the main image finished off the card!!

Pop back soon as I will have more sneak peeks of the new release....
Happy crafting, Hugz Ashlee.

Howly-Jowly...!!

Hi everyone.....

I have a new card up on the "Gerda Steiner designs"blog today using the super cute set
"Carol puppies".... (co-ordinating dies also available)

I made a nice CAS card for this one so that the image was the main focus...

I coloured the puppy up with Copics and popped it onto the card base where I had stamped the sentiment "Have a howly-Jowly Christmas", also from the carol puppies stamp set.

Once I had my image where I wanted it I added some of the little music notes from the set around the puppy and then finished it off with a touch of sequins!!

Have fun getting all your christmas cards ready and happy christmas everyone!!

Leave a little sparkle......!!

Hey everyone....

I'm popping in with a late night post for you all, this time using a stamp from "Stamping Bella".... called "Oddball sparkle fairy"!!

These oddballs are so fun to colour up. I have a little video on my youtube channel colouring in her skin if you would like to check that out I'll add it below!!

I thought this oddball would be perfect for a shaker card filled with lots of sparkly sequins...
The base of my shaker is done using some NUVO shimmer powder in the colour "Violet Brocade".... it is super pretty!!

Here is the video I was telling you about colouring skin. It was just a quick one done using my phone so it doesn't have any major editing and sorry my hand gets in the way a little oops, but I hope you can get the gist of what I was doing!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my new card,

Winter dress up....!!

Evening everyone...

It's time for a new challenge at "Create a smile" challenge blog and this fortnight our theme is "WINTER"!!

Now jus to give you a bit of insight into making this card, my heat gun decided to die on me right after I had stamped a heap of tiny little snowflakes and covered them in powder......NOOOOOOOO!! Lets just say it was sequins to the rescue hahahaha!!

I created a blended background with some distress oxide inks in peacock feathers and salty ocean and spritzed with a touch of water...

Once that was dry I heat embossed some snowflakes over the background using some WOW embossing powder "Calypso".

I also heat embossed a snowflake and a christmas tree onto some white cardstock with WOW "Primary blue topaz" powder and fussy cut them out. This was a fun element to pop behind my bear out of the "Dress me up" create a smile set...

I dressed him up in a winter jacket and coloured him with Copic in grey tones so that he kinda looked like a polar bear.... perfect for the winter!!

I hope you enjoy my card and I also hope you will come over to the CAS challenge blog and join us this fortnight, you even have a chance at a wonderful gift card to the store if you enter!!

WOW Embossing coffee blog hop....!!

Hi everyone....

Im so excited I was asked to be a part of the WOW coffee blog hop.

I just love WOW powders, they are seriously the best... they always emboss so nicely.

For my card I used the WOW powders "sugar plum" to make a sparkly scallop
and "for the sentiment "opaque bright white regular"....

The cute little cups and sentiment are from a stamp set by "Uniquely creative
called "warm wishes" (there is also matching dies available too).

Here are all the names and links for the hop...
