Lala garden...

Hey Friends...
I just got the Sizzix framelits Royal card stand up die set and I couldn't wait to try it out...
and I must say I love this die!!

Such an awesome way to make a quick card base...
I think I'm going to need more of these die sets hehehe...!!

I stamped Darling Marci with Memento tuxedo black ink then
coloured her up using my Copic markers...

The grass die is a Doo-hickey from Magnolia and the cute flowers die is called Secret garden from Dee's distinctively ..

Designer papers used are all from Maja designs...

The cute heart lace I purchased when I was at the craft & quilt fair in hobart, its so pretty!!

I hope you have enjoyed my Lala land card...

Till next time..big Hugz

Beach time...

Hey everyone..
I've just returned from a little holiday away in Melbourne with my crafting buddy Jenny.
We had a fabulous time crafting together and going to the paperiffic craft show.

Seeing her lovely lala land cards has inspired me to get my lala land stamps out and have a colour with my copics!!

I took inspiration for the colouring from the actual product packaging for this stamp..
I loved the group of colours used on the packet so thought I'd try and match it!!

The dies I used on this card are all from the first Magnolia doohickey club kit and the designer papers are all by Maja designs..

Hope you like my new card...

Gelatos.....

Hey everyone...
This weekend I purchased this awesome Gelatos kit by Faber castell!!
I haven't tried these before so I couldn't wait to try them out and see what I could do...

Here is what the kit looks like and what is included...

Included in the kit is :
1 Instruction sheet with techniques
28 Gelato's (some metallic)
2 Blending sponges
2 Paper stumps
1 Waterbrush

Can stay stored in the cute little draw box!!

*My first card I used the Dripping technique...*

I coated a piece of white cardstock in Gesso, added the three colours of gelatos to the top and then sprayed heaps of water on them, held the paper up and let the colours drip down to create a pretty background!!

I also stamped using the same coloured gelatos I used in the background,
to do this you just colour with gelato straight onto the stamp..
These love hearts were out of a greeting farm clear stamp set!!

Sentiment is from Lily of the valley..
"A smile is a curve that sets everything straight"

This technique was done pretty much the same as the dripping technique except I used the Maya road shimmer spray and then spread the colours all over the page using my fingers.!!

Once the base had dried I used the cuttlebug chevron embossing folder to emboss..
This embossing folder is so cool...its a great effect!!

A very simple card, I backed my created background on some pretty pink patterned paper,
added some mesh, a piece of the Prima doily lace, stamped a little tag using the gelatos to stamp, and threaded a piece of pink floss..(I love you tag also from TGF)

And there you have my two first and very simple cards using Gelatos!!

I recommend these Gelatos if you haven't got them, they are super cool and heaps of fun!!
Great for mixed media, stamping, painting and all sorts of things!!

Thanks for visiting me, hope you enjoyed my post!!

Prima doll canvas..

Hi everyone
sorry I haven't been posting on this blog much...
I am here today to show you a canvas I have made using one of the doll stamps from the Julie nutting collection by Prima !!
This is the first time I've done mixed media and I must say I loved it,
was so much fun making a mess lol...

Designer paper is from the something blue collection that's new from prima..
Here it is....

I used a texture paste to do the bricks using a kaisercraft stencil...
and the bubbles behind her was done using paint on bubblewrap!!
The beautiful doily lace is also new from prima...

The believe word was a metal embellishment that I had in my stash....
Flowers are Wild orchid crafts and the branch is kaisercraft!!

I used a brown and off white acrylic paint around the canvas and then once I had glued all my paper on added some Prima chalk ink edges..

This canvas was inspired by a yourube video that I watched by Gabrielle pollaco,
you can find her blog here http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com.au/
She does beautiful work !!

Hugz and thanks for stopping by..

Lili of the valley....up, up and away

Hey everyone,
Today I received my very first order from lili of the valley!!
omg are these stamps cute or what...??
I ordered a few to get me started and I think I will definitely be going back for more...
Excellent service free postage world wide and it arrived to me in Australia very quickly....you can get yours here http://liliofthevalley.co.uk

Of course I couldn't wait to colour them up so as soon as I had finished some other things I needed to get done I grabbed my distress inks and coloured in patchwork hot air balloon... This teddy is so cute flying in his balloon!!

All of the flowers are from Wild orchid crafts and the designer paper if by Maja designs.
I used a magnolia stamp love heart for the love text around the image...

So what do you think of my first LOTV card...??
I think I'm pretty happy with my first one...
