Hey everyone...
This weekend I purchased this awesome Gelatos kit by Faber castell!!
I haven't tried these before so I couldn't wait to try them out and see what I could do...
Here is what the kit looks like and what is included...
Included in the kit is :
1 Instruction sheet with techniques
28 Gelato's (some metallic)
2 Blending sponges
2 Paper stumps
1 Waterbrush
Can stay stored in the cute little draw box!!
*My first card I used the Dripping technique...*
I coated a piece of white cardstock in Gesso, added the three colours of gelatos to the top and then sprayed heaps of water on them, held the paper up and let the colours drip down to create a pretty background!!
I also stamped using the same coloured gelatos I used in the background,
to do this you just colour with gelato straight onto the stamp..
These love hearts were out of a greeting farm clear stamp set!!
Sentiment is from Lily of the valley..
"A smile is a curve that sets everything straight"
This technique was done pretty much the same as the dripping technique except I used the Maya road shimmer spray and then spread the colours all over the page using my fingers.!!
Once the base had dried I used the cuttlebug chevron embossing folder to emboss..
This embossing folder is so cool...its a great effect!!
A very simple card, I backed my created background on some pretty pink patterned paper,
added some mesh, a piece of the Prima doily lace, stamped a little tag using the gelatos to stamp, and threaded a piece of pink floss..(I love you tag also from TGF)
And there you have my two first and very simple cards using Gelatos!!
I recommend these Gelatos if you haven't got them, they are super cool and heaps of fun!!
Great for mixed media, stamping, painting and all sorts of things!!
Thanks for visiting me, hope you enjoyed my post!!
