Hello astronaut....!!

Hey everyone....

Im up on the "Gerda Steiner" blog today with this card I have made using the cool set "Blast off"....

This set is such a fun one to create space themed cards, perfect for male birthdays and greetings!!

To create this card I used some designer paper from Altenew's new 6x6 paper pack celestial and then cut out some clouds using the "stitched cloud border" die from "Uniquely Creative" with white cardstock and vellum.

I coloured and cut two of the cute little aliens, the awesome little astronaut and the flag then added them onto the card base with some foam tape for added dimension.

A touch of pretty sequins to add some bling finished off the card.

I hope you like my latest Gerda card inspiration,
Happy crafting, Ashlee

CDD new release....!!

Hey crafters.....

Have you been over to "Craftin Desert Divas" to check out the new release yet??!!
If you haven't I highly recommend you go and check them out because the release is full of lots of super cute new stamp sets!!

I've got a couple of cards to share with you....
This first one is using the "Panda-bilities" set and oh boy oh boy is it adorbs!!

For the background I used the plaid part out of the stencil "sorted shapes 2" and inked it with distress oxides ink. The shaker portion is made with the "inside scalloped circles" die and filled with the pretty sequin mix "couture".

For my second card I used the "Love your mug" stamp set along with a couple of extra items that match perfectly, stencil "Coffee time" and sequin mix "coffee break".

Using three different colours of Altenew cube inks I stamped one of the sentiments from the love your mug set multiple times then used the stencil with some distress oxide inks to create a fun background for my main images.

The sequins from coffee break were a perfect finishing touch!!

I will have some more inspiration to share with you soon using more of these new release pieces so keep an eye out...

Gorgeous....!!

Hey everyone....

I wanted to stop by and share with you a card I made with the absolutely beautiful new mini kit from "Uniquely Creative" - "Flawed and Fabulous"!!

This mini kit is full of beautiful flowers stamps and extra pieces to create lots of stunning cards!!

To create this card I stamped the flowers with Versamark on white cardstock and then used some "WOW" white embossing powder to heat set them.

Once I had embossed the flowers I sprinkled on some NUVO shimmer powders in three different shades and then spritzed it with water until I had the desired colour effect I was after.

Using my heat tool I dried the background and picked up any pooling of colour with some paper towel. I just love how this background turned out with all the beautiful colours of the NUVO powders.

Included in the mini kit is a large chipboard flower which I also embossed with "WOW" white embossing powder.

To finish off the card I used one of the cut apart sentiments, backed it with some white cardstock and then mounted it onto the chipboard flower. oh and of course a touch of pretty UC pearls....

I hope you like tonight inspiration with the Flawed and fabulous mini kit...
Happy crafting, Ashlee.

Buzzing by......!!

Hey everyone....

Woohoo, I'm here to share my first post as a member of the design team for "Hello Sweetums"....

For this card I have used the super sweet set "Bee's knees" and the co-ordinating dies....

To create this card base I used two shades of yellow distress oxide ink and blended them all over the base. I then splattered it with black watercolour paint for a fun effect.

The sweet images I coloured using my fave colouring medium Copics....
Once they were all coloured up I cut them out in my die machine using the co-ordinating dies and mounted them on the card with foam tape for added dimension.
I love to finish off a lot of my cards with a touch of sequins because who doesn't love a little bit of bling hehe!!

I had so much fun creating with these crafty goodies, I hope you like it!!

Mushroom in my heart....!!

Hey everyone....

So have you been to check out the December stamp & colour kit mushroom pals release yet from "Uniquely Creative"....??!!

It's full of super cute mushrooms, fun goodies and lots of inspiration in the little magazine also included!!

Here are a couple of the cards I have created for the kit....

For this first one I masked off a few different sized circles and used some Distress oxide inks to ink them, then a spritz of water over them for a fun effect.
Once I had done that it made it easy to figure out where I wanted to place my sentiments.

I coloured up the sweet little images with Copics (colours used can be found in the ideas magazine). Finished off the card with some UC pearl embellishments.

This next card uses one of the new add on dies called "Happy birthday rays"...
How fun is it....I think it would be a great die to create some shaker cards with too!!

A super simple card to create....
I first cut the die on the card base where i wanted it then mounted some patterned designer paper from the kit behind it. I then added the sentiment below and mounted all the little images (also coloured with Copic) with some foam tape to the card. Then finished it off with some UC enamel dots.

I just love that these kits come with everything you need to create some awesome cards.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing some of them.

Happy crafting Ashlee.

Happy friends...!!

Hi everyone

I'm here today with my first "Gerda Steiner" card for the new year...
I hope you have all had a fantastic start to 2019!!

For this card I have used the brand new set "Lovely pandas"....
(The store will be re-open today so you will be able to shop for this fantastic new set)
It is just the cutest set of pandas and sentiments!!

I wanted to create an ombre pink card with a pile of pink love hearts for the sweet panda to sit on. I thought it would make a lovely valentine card for a crafty friend.

The panda I coloured up using my favourite colouring medium Copics.

I added a pretty touch of sequins from the sequins mix "pink lemonade" from "Hbbrittneylee" etsy store, I just love her sequin mixes!!

I hope you like my new card, I certainly enjoyed creating it...

Dream BIG....!!

Hey everyone....

I hope you have all had a lovely start to the brand new year...
I'm sure it will be another fun one full of lots of crafty creations!!

I'm excited to be staying on the team for "Craftin desert divas" for another term so today I have a card to share using the super cute set "mermanimal"!!

To create this card firstly I stamped the sentiment I wanted to use on my card base with some black ink. I then cut out the medium sized circle from the "inside scalloped circle" die set with some white cardstock and then heat embossed it with some "WOW" Emerald city embossing powder.

I coloured up three of the images from the set with copics and placed them around the circle with some foam tape for dimension. Using the "Island" dies set I cut out the little shell, starfish and seahorse and covered them in distress oxide ink . Using some glue I then stuck them around the circle next to the animals. To finish it off a touch of CDD sequins!!

I hope you like my first CDD card for the year...

Blooms....!!

Hey everyone....

Tonight I thought I would share with you all a couple of the cards I made for the "Uniquely Creative" advent kit that they released for December. It was full of lots of fun products, a crafty goody to open each day for the lead up to christmas!!

Dont worry though, if you missed out on the kit they actually have some "mini kits" available on the webstore including the UC products that were included in the advent kit (also available to purchase separately).

These cards are made using the "Mini bloom" stamp and co-ordinating die.

The first card I coloured and cut out two of the flower image and placed them on my card base with some foam tape. Using the "mini brilliant sentiments" set I added a sentiment to the middle of my flowers. Some UC embellishments finished off the card.

This second card I created by using some NUVO shimmer powder on photo paper to place underneath my card base where I cut out a rectangle from the "Cross stitch rectangles" die.

I added the flower that I coloured and cut with the co-ordinaing die to the card front with some foam tape, added the sentiment from the same "mini brilliant sentiments" set I used on the other card and then finished it off with some UC enamel dots.

This flower set is certainly so beautiful and a lovely one to create with, I hope you all enjoyed seeing the card I made using it.
