There's a dolphin in the water...

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well and getting some crafting done.

This is my second card for the week.....yay im on a roll!!

This card I have done using the tutorial in the latest Magnolia Ink magazine... a Gel card.

It was so much fun to make, I really enjoyed it and am very happy with my outcome :-)

I didnt have any blue gel so I got out some food colouring and mixed it into the gel and tadaa blue gel !!

Here is my card...

I went around the dolphin frame using some liquid pearls..

Added in some highlites using the opaque white paint..

Im loving these anchor and shell charms...they are so cute!!

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts...

I used some Magnolia patterned paper on this card and all the images are coloured using copic markers...

What do you think... do you like it, are you going to give this gel technique a go?

I would love to make another one of these cards...might try a different colour gel next time...

Pearl of the sea....

Hi crafters..

I made  card tonight using one of my new Maggies..Pearl Tilda!!

She is so sweet with her little sea horse..

I coloured her using my copics and added some liquid pearls to the bubbles.

The rose ribbon at the bottom is from Tim Holtz, I love it.. such a nice ribbon, I'm sure you could add some distress inks or something to it if you wanted to give it different colours, that would look cool!!

Here is my card...

Inked edging is done using some Tim Holtz distress inks..

Added some cheese cloth underneath the image for a netting look!!

The pretty flowers and rose ribbon...

I love these anchor charms I got from the craft and quilt fair in launceston this year..fitted the theme quite well..

some odd fairy...

Hi guys and gals,

I have a little card here to share with you today using a

gorgeous little fairy stamp from Some odd girl!!

I used some liquid pearls on her wings to give them so added dimension...

I also used some opaque white to add in some highlites.

The image is all coloured with copics

My Craft shop...ASHCRAFT & GIFTS

I wanted to let you all know that I have recently opened up my own craft and gift store.

Its called Ashcraft & Gifts, the store is in launceston tasmania and It is full of all sorts of crafting goodness aswell as some gift lines...

I have combined it with my current business which is a cafe so you can come in have a drink, a bite to eat, get some presents and do your craft shopping all at the same time :-) !!

Some of the lines I am stocking are Magnolia stamps, paper and dies. The greeting farm, Bazill cardstock, Scrap Fx chipboard, Spellbinder dies and machines, Copics, Tim holtz distress inks, markers, and more!!

masculine cards @ mad for markers...

Hi everyone,
our challenge at mad for markers this month is masculine....
I have used my copics on this card to colour the pearls to match the green on my card and also coloured the edges of the greeting with the same colour.
