Hello sunshine....!!

  Hello friends...

Im up on the GSD blog again today and are you ready to see a card using another brand new stamp set coming to the "Gerda Steiner Designs" store??!!

This one is a slimline card using the "Hello sunshine" stamp set....

I started with a base of watercolour cardstock and masked off the bottom portion so that I could do an ink blended background...

I used some Catherine Pooler inks in the colours Catching Rays and Pucker Up to create a pretty blend before then splattering with some Midnight Ink mixed with a little water!!

I then stamped on the sun from the Hello sunshine stamp set and filled it in with some pretty WOW! Sparkles for a touch of glitter!!

It was then time to add the super adorable bear that I coloured using Spectrum Noir tri-blend markers and added the sentiment Hello sunshine to his little sign....

To finish off the card my usual touch... some sequins!!

Thanks for stopping by the GSD blog today, I hope you enjoyed my post and happy shopping. Hugz Ashlee

Hello... is it tea you're looking for??!!

 Hey friends...

I've got some super new inspiration for you using a brand new stamp set coming into the shop at "Gerda Steiner Designs" called "Positivi-Tea"...

(This will be available in the new release section of the store)

I thought the bear popping in from the side would be perfect for a slimline card along with the super cute cup and tea bag!!

I can't help but get the sing tune in my head when I read the sentiment on this....

"Hello.... is it tea you're looking for?!".....

Sentiment is stamped straight onto the card base using Memento tuxedo black ink!

All the images are coloured in using Spectrum noir tri-blend markers and added to the card base using foam dots for dimension....

All finished off with a touch of beautiful sequins from Catherine Pooler sequins mixes!!

I just love making slimline cards and I'm absolutely crushing on this new stamp set, its the cutest!!

I hope you enjoy it and happy shopping for the new stamps...

P.S there is also another new stamp set hitting the shop too called "Hello sunshine" and it is super awesome!!

Date Night ink celebrations continued....!!

 Hey crafty friends....

I've got my second lot of inspiration for you to celebrate the "Date Night ink" release and giveaway at "Catherine Pooler"!!

Catherine is giving away $25 vouchers to the CPD store just for commenting on any of the influencer giveaway posts over on instagram....

You will find so much inspiration using these AMAZING brand new ink colours, I know I can't stop getting inky with them... they are just gorgeous!!

I created a set of matching cards using some products from the latest release, hope you enjoy them...

I started with some watercolour cardstock and using a mix of the new Date Night inks created blended backgrounds with the "Scribbled hearts" stencil....

Once I removed the stencil I added some splatters by mixing some "Midnight CP ink" with a little water!!

On another panel of watercolour cardstock I did some more blends on Date night inks, splattered with midnight ink and die cut the "Love in heart" die....

I also die cut the Love in heart die in black and white cardstock so I could do the extra layers and inserts of colour!!

I added the die cuts to the card base with foam tape for dimension....

Finished them both off with a touch of sequins!!

I love how these cards came out, the colours are just so fun....

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to my Instagram feed @ashbie1412 for your chance at winning a voucher to the Catherine Pooler store!!

Club Sursee....

Hey my crafty friends...

There is a brand new Catherine Pooler "Club Sursee" shipment in town and oh boy I think it is my absolute favourite so far.....

Everyone received an extra little stamp this month "Shine your light" and this is what I have used to create my first card a slimline rainbow!!

For these first two rainbow theme cards I used the CP ink colours

- Rockin Red
- Orange Twist
- Limoncello
- Grass Skirt
- Fiesta Blue
- Grape Crush
- Party dress

(First card used a little Twilight ink to add some shading to the cloud)

Using some watercolour cardstock as my base I stamped a bunch of the rainbows from the "Put a stamp on it" stamp set and masked them off with some memo tape...

I then ink blended over the whole panel and splattered with some Midnight ink mixed with a little water!

(The first slimline card was done using the same sort of technique)

Using a blender pen I picked up some of the ink from the ink pads and coloured in the little hearts....

Next up is these super cute doggies on their scooter from the "Special delivery" stamp set

They are off on an adventure together which looks like lots of fun to me.....

These couple of cards use the CP ink colours

- Catching Rays
- In the Park
- Pucker Up

Splattered with Midnight ink mixed with a little water!!

I added an ink blended edge to this next card before popping on a bunch of the doggies stamped and then die cut with the co-ordinating dies and completed with a sentiment and lots of sequins for bling!!

For this last card I ink blended a watercolour piece of card using CP inks

- Cummerbund
- Serenade
- DO SI-DO

I then stamped on the scooter and die cut it with the co-ordinating die....

I stamped on a sentiment directly onto the card base and finished off with a bunch of pretty CP sequins!!

I hope you enjoy all these cards as much as I enjoyed making them...
Such a super fun set of goodies, I can't wait to get them out again and create some more....

Happy crafting, Hugz Ashlee

WOW! all the things....!!

 Hey my crafty friends....

Have you been to join us in the latest challenge at WOW! Embossing "WOW! all the things"??!!

One of my favourite ways to use WOW! embossing is to emboss an image on watercolour cardstock with Opaque bright white powder and then colour with a watercolour medium (In this case Karin brush markers)....

The image I used for this one is a background stamp by Catherine Pooler called "Fresh squeezed"...

I added a super cute orange to the mix by stamping the orange from the "Sentimental fruit" stamp set and popping it up on the background using some foam tape for dimension!!

I finished it all off with some CPD sequins....

If you want to join us in the challenge use the #wowembossingchallenge or pop on over to the WOW! Facebook fans page!!

Club Canvo FEBRUARY spreads...!!

Hey everyone...

I've got my Canvo spreads ready for February using the latest Catherine Pooler "Club Canvo" goodies....

Club Canvo is a monthly subscription service where you receive suprise stamps and a stencil to create your next month spreads in your Canvo journal!!

Catherine released 8 new "Date night" ink colours this month so I decided to use those for my colour scheme....

My first spread I always like to do a month cover so I added a colourful stencilled heart using the  "Faceted heart trio stencil" and stamped in some little flowers from the "February to do's" stamp set...

I used the "Weekly seven stencil" to do a Calendar of dates for the February month....

My next spread uses the super cool stamp set "Build a terrarium"!!

How cool are these hanging terrariums full of succulents??!!

They decorated my notes and to do's page nicely!!

The next couple of spreads are my monthly dates ready to write in any appointments or notes for each separate date....

To do this I used the "Future log stencil" and decorated with a bunch of succulents stamped using the date night ink colours....

For my last spread for the month I used the Faceted heart trio stencil again and created some ink blended hearts with places to add extra notes or anything I need to jot down....

How gorgeous are these colours of ink right??!!
I love them!!

I hope I've got you inspired to get your spreads ready for next month,
Happy Canvoing everyone...

WOW! Thanks....!!

 Hey everyone...

Welcome to my first post for "WOW! Embossing Powders" 2021....

Our challenge theme at WOW! this month is "WOW! all the things" so the team is sharing all sorts of their favourite embossing techniques!!

One of my favourite techniques is to emboss images on watercolour cardstock with "Opaque bright white embossing powder" and colour them in with a range of watercolours....

In this example I used Karin brush marker pros!!

Stamp set I used for these images is from Catherine Pooler called "Classy trims".

The bright rainbow background is done using Catherine Pooler slimline paper and deco foil...

I wanted a large glossy sentiment for this card so I die cut the "Deco thanks" a few times from black cardstock which I then glued all on top of each other for some added dimension before embossing the whole thing with WOW! clear gloss!!

"WOW! Clear gloss" embossing powder is a must for any embossing powder collection, it's such a useful one for creating glossy elements!!

A sentiment banner along with a touch of sequins finished this slimline card off...

If you would like to do any WOW! shopping to add some EP to your collection here is a code for 10% off your whole order - WOWDTAB

I hope you enjoyed this card and I will see you again soon with some more WOW! inspiration, Hugz Ashlee

December Club Sursee....!!

Hey my friends...

Who's ready to see what I created using the latest "Club Sursee" products from "Catherine Pooler"??!!

I had so much fun (as always) making cards with these goodies, I couldn't help but make them super bright and cheerful!!

First up new have a couple of rainbow slimline cards...

To create this first card I started with some watercolour cardstock and die a blend of CP inks along the bottom portion...

I then used a bit of CP Midnight ink refill mixed with a touch of water to do a sprinkle of ink over the blended piece!!

Using a piece of cardstock covered in double sided adhesive I die cut the Birdies branch and then cut a piece of Deco foil "Rainbow shattered glass" which I placed over the adhesive top. I gave it a rub and once the excess is removed it leaves a super fun foiled effect.

I then finished it all off with a whole bunch of CP sequins and a sentiment from the Lovely birdies stamp set!!

These birdies were calling for a rainbow lineup on this slimline card....

For this card I stamped directly onto my card base using some images from the Lovely birdies and the Little leaves sentiment stamp sets with "CP inks" along with a sentiment...

I then stamped and die cut a birdie and finished off with "CP sequins"!!

I used the same foiling technique on this card with the birdies branch die as I did with the first one except this time I used a different coloured foil....

I added a a sentiment from the Little leaves sentiments stamp set using "CP Midnight ink" and then popped on a birdie to represent either a girl or boy!!

I just love these super cute little birdies don't you?!

I hope you enjoy all these Club Sursee cards, I sure had fun creating them to inspire you and I'm sure I will be using these sets again very soon....

Happy crafting, Hugz Ashlee
