Hello my friends and welcome to the WOW! Embossing Powder New Release giveaway Hop!  We are so excited to show case to you our New Release collection.

There is absolutely beautiful new powders added to the WOW! collection and this hop is going to get you inspired on how to use the new colours for sure....

- WOW! trio Summer scoops

- WOW! trio Toteally amazing

- Catherine Pooler inspired Deck the halls

- Catherine Pooler inspired Cranberry sparkle

- Galaxy glow

Unfortunately with the unpredictable post at the moment my new release powders didn't arrive on time so I am showcasing the awesome CHANGERS!!

If you haven't tried the WOW! changers yet you totally need them in your life, they expand your collection big time....

For my first card I used the Sheen changers powder and mixed it with Jealous guy so I could fully emboss my background panel!!

Sheen changes the finish of the Jealous guy powder and gives it an absolutely awesome sheeny shiny finish!!

I die cut the "Petal connection cover plate" from Catherine Pooler and then covered it in WOW! embossing ultra slow ink before covering in my mix of Sheen and Jealous guy, then heat setting with my dual heat gun.....

Using some WOW! gold pearl I heat embossed the beautiful cake image from Catherine's "This calls for cake" (co-ordinating dies) stamp set on watercolour cardstock and coloured with Altenew and Jane Davenport waterbrush pens....

I finished it all off with an embossed sentiment on vellum using WOW! metallic gold rich ultra high

For my second card I used the Sheen changer powder again but this time I used it on its own over the top of a blended distress oxide ink background....

To do this I selected the colours of distress oxide ink I wanted to use, in this case it was Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Speckled Egg....

I blended the three colours over a piece of white cardstock and used my dual heat gun a little bit on the first setting to make sure it was dry, I then covered the whole panel with WOW! ultra slow dry ink before covering in Sheen changer powder and heat set!!

I just love the whole background finish this gives!!

Using a die from Pinkfresh studio "Hello with a bouquet" I die cut it from white and black cardstock so I could layer the two....

I finished the card off by adding a heat embossed sentiment on black cardstock using WOW! Opaque bright white powder and some Catherine Pooler sequins which I attached with Glue dots!!

Happy Birthday....!!

  Hey my crafty friends...

I have some clean and simple inspiration for you today...

I chose to do a simple foiled Happy birthday sentiment and add some gorgeous "Gerda Steiner" images from the "Birthday bear" stamp set!!

I coloured up the images using a mix of Altenew and Spectrum Noir tri-blend markers and then added them to the cardbase using some foam tape to give some dimension to the card....

A touch of sequins adhered to the card with Glue dots and the card was complete...

I like the pretty and simple finish to this card, what do you think?!

Happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Let your light shine....!!

Hey everyone....

I have a card to share with you that I made using a few different "WOW! embossing" powders along with beautiful Earth sparkles and Sparkles!!

I wanted to create a pretty flower for my card with different shades of pink so to start with I embossed a panel of cardstock with WOW! Love is the drug mixed with Changers Glisten powder, nice and sparkly....

The other two layers I die cut from two different shades of cardstock....

I embossed a panel of cardstock wtih WOW! Primary Chartreuse so I could die cut the leaves....

The flowers and leaves are a die from Altenew called Fantasy floral 3D and its so pretty!!

Once my flower was all complete I started on my card base and to do this one I used a piece of teal coloured cardstock and stamped on a background from Catherine Pooler called Plaid background with a light grey ink....

I then used some double sided tape to add stripes of WOW! earth sparkles in the colour Stingray to my background!!

Using another piece of cardstock covered in double sided adhesive I covered that in WOW! Prom queen sparkles for an added little panel of sparkle....

Finishing the card off with a sentiment strip and some clear rhinestone embellishments!!

I really enjoyed using a whole mix of different WOW! products to create this card and I hope you enjoyed it too...

Happy embossing my friends, Hugz Ashlee

Happy holidays....!!

 Hey my friends...

I went through my "Create a Smile stamps" stash and thought I'd grab a couple of previously released Christmas products to create a card...

I went for the gorgeous "Snowflake" stencil and "Happy holidays" stamp set!!

Here is what I came up with...

I started off with a grey cardstock base and placed the snowflake stencil right in the centre...

Using an ink blending brush I inked over the stencil with Distress oxide ink Hickory Smoke!!

I then removed the stencil and stamped straight over the top the Happy holidays sentiment using Memento tuxedo black ink...

To finish the whole card off I added the extra little piece of the sentiment and a bunch of sequins for a touch of bling!!

I hope you enjoy this CAS Christmas card, happy crafting....

November Canvo spreads....!!

 Hey everyone...

November is nearly here so it's time to get those Canvo journal spreads ready for the new month!!

I have created 5 spreads for November using the latest goodies from "Catherine Pooler's" Club Canvo...

If you haven't heard of Club Canvo before then what it is is a subscription based service where you receive a bunch of products (Stamp set, a mini month stamp and a stencil) each month to do your Canvo journals spreads...

Here is my November cover page...

I stamped the Month using some CP Midnight ink and then a bunch of the fun travel images from the Discover the world stamp set which I then coloured with a blender pen and a mix of CP inks...

For my next double spread I used the weekly ten stencil and some Midnight ink to blend down the side of my page to make little roads. (I added the white lines with a gel pen)

I stamped on the little flags to add in my dates for the month and some cute little cars driving all along the bottom which I also coloured with a blender pen and CP inks....

For my next spreads to finish off the month I stamped a whole heaps of the photo frames, one for each day of the rest of the month and coloured in the corners with blender pen and CP ink...

Another November stamp from the monthly stamp set and some more images from the Discover the world stamp set finished off this spread!!

These stamps would also be so perfect to create Travel themed cards for people going on adventures or bon-voyage!!...

I hope you are inspired by these Canvo spreads to get in and start your pages ready for November...

Happy journalling my friends, hugz Ashlee

 Hey everyone...

There is a sketch challenge at "My Favourite Things" every Wednesday and I thought I'd join in the latest one!!

I always find sketch's so handy as they are a fantastic starting point for your card layout...

For this card I used the "Christmas lights" die-namic and did lots of beautiful WOW! embossed christmas lights to go all the way down the card!!

To emboss the lights I used the WOW! embossing powders "Gemstone" trio by Tracy Scott, they turned out super sparkly and beautiful!!

I added the sentiment stamped from the "Merry & Bright" stamp set and then die cut with the "phrase builders" die-namic...

To create my card base I used some MFT cardstock and then stamped the "Knitted sweater" background stamp using MFT ink!!

To finish the whole card off I added a but more bling with a touch of sequins....

I hope you enjoy this new card, happy crafting hugz Ashlee

I like the way you roll....!!

 Hey my friends...

I've got a colourful card to share with you today using the stamp set "Llama tell you" from "Gerda Steiner designs"....

I coloured up the cute armadillos using Spoectrum noir tri-blend markers in some fun colours so they would pop off the card...

I used some plaid paper from Lawn Fawn for the card base and also on some of the pieces for the cute little tags die cut from the Sunny studio window quad square die...

I made four of the little tags and added some paper twine to each of them before adding them to the card base with foam tape!!

I added the "I like the way you roll" sentiment also from the Llama tell you stamp set and finished the card off with some pretty Catherine Pooler sequins!!....

What do you think of this colourful card with these armadillos??!!
I really hope you enjoyed it!!

Let's craft together.....!!

  Hey my crafty friends...

I have been playing with the awesome "WOW! embossing" Changers Glisten powder and I can't wait to show you the card I made using it!!

I really enjoy mixing the powders to create fun effects....

I stamped and coloured two of the images from the Grey muse stamp set Cats in the craft room with Copic markers and cut then out with my brother scan n cut machine....

Onto creating the card....

I used a nesting slim layers die set from Waffle flowers crafts and cut one from yellow cardstock and then the next size down from white cardstock to create my base layers....

I then embossed all my pieces for the strips...

I used some WOW! superior smooth cardstock and swiped my WOW! ultra slow dry ink pad over it so I could get an embossed panel with the powders I've mixed and then be able to cut them into strips....

Here are the powder mixes I made for my strips....

Primary Fuchsia fusion and Glisten

Primary Lemon and Glisten

Primary Blue topaz and Glisten

How cool is it that you can change any of the WOW! powders up and create your own....

I just love it, it expands your collection so much!!

I hope you enjoyed this card and feel inspired to try the awesome WOW! Changers out...

World card making day blog hop with WOW! embossing....!!

Hey my crafty friends and welcome to a SUPER awesome blog hop to celebrate World Cardmaking day with WOW! Embossing....!!

Here's a little bit of info for you all about WCMD...

Card Making Day reminds us that the best gifts come from the heart, and the hands and vision of the people we love, so get out there and try making a card of your own! Nowadays, with the advancements in technology and the rise of the Internet, some people have stopped sending cards altogether. Instead, they send email cards. While there is nothing wrong with this, no one can deny that receiving a beautiful card feels a lot nicer. This is especially the case when the other person has gone to the effort of making the card!

To make sure your personalised, handmade card is met with a beam of delight rather than a sigh of regret, here are some mistakes to avoid.

History of Card Making Day
Cards have played an important role in social circles for hundreds of years, playing a role as a thoughtful gift all the way to a necessary part of proper etiquette. Consider, if you will, the calling card of the Victorian era, a term that has become so ubiquitous that the signature element of a bomb-maker or a criminal is said to be their ‘calling card’.

A small piece of paper bearing one’s name and often a decoration of some kind, the calling card (Also known as a visiting card) was presented to the servants of a household that it might be delivered to the masters of the house to announce visitors.

It was this era of propriety that also developed the concept of a dance card, a card specifically carried by women to fill out with the names of the men they intended to dance with that evening. After all, with so many interested parties it just made sense to keep track of them so that you could, in earnest, indicate that your dance card was full and thus politely decline an interested suitor.

Calling Cards, Dance Cards, Business Cards, Greeting Cards, RSVP Cards, there are a million and more types of cards and could there be anything more exciting than learning to make your own? Card Making Day encourages you to do just that.

I know I love creating cards it's always so much fun to play with all the different crafty goodies and see what I can come up with...

Here is my card for WCMD, I hope you enjoy it...

I used a fun die set from Sugarpea designs called "You're my type" and embossed all the pieces using WOW! Embossing powders POP, BANG and FIZZ!!

I love the awesome effect these powders have and the colours are just gorgeous...

I added my embossed die cut piece to a white shaker card base that I made using a die from Honeybee stamps called "Diamond patterns" and filled with pretty sequins mounted on a blue base....

I finished off the card by adding a piece of paper into the type writer with a lovely sentiment from the Sugarpea designs stamp set "You're my type" and a touch of extra sequins!!

I've created a slimlime card using WOW! primary blue topaz mixed with Glisten changer along with Primary lemon also mixed with Glisten changer!!

The WOW! "changer powders" are so much fun as they really extend your embossing powder collection....

More Jolly holiday fun....!!

 Hey my friends...

Have you seen the latest release at "Catherine Pooler" ??!!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today using some of the newest goodies from the Jolly holiday collection....

For this first card I made a fun base using the "Rainbow" slimline die and filled the die cut pieces with the designer paper from the "Holiday whimsy" pattern paper pack!!

I coloured up the gorgeous "Nice list" images, die cut them with the co-ordinating dies and popped them onto the base using some foam tape for dimension....

I love finishing off my cards with Catherine Pooler sequins so I added a touch of them from the Christmas cove mix!!

Onto my next card...

I used the "Peppermint twist" coverplate and die cut it from a light grey cardstock...

Using the new ink colour "Cranberry fizz" I swatched a piece of card and then die cut that from the peppermint twist coverplate too so that I could add all the die cut pieces back inside the grey one I cut out beforehand!!

I stamped and die cut some of the "Sweetest season" images using both the two new ink colours Cranberry fizz and "Deck the halls"....

Added them to the cardbase along with a die cut "Layered tag" and some "Christmas cove" sequins!!

Hope you like both of these Jolly holiday cards as much as I enjoyed creating them...

Happy crafting, hugz Ashlee
