Plain AWESOME....!!

Hey my crafty friends....

The Catherine Pooler Creative team has been having lots of fun this past week using coverplates over at StampNation so I thought I'd create a card and a video to share with you all...

I think we need lots of crafty videos and inspiration to keep us inspired and busy at this current time!!

You can watch all the steps of how I created this card on my youtube channel but I'll explain here also how I created the card too...

I started off with a base of Uniquely creative watercolour cardstock which I then inked with CP inks in the colours Orange Peel, Grass Skirt, Party Dress and Something Borrowed....

Gave it a good spray of water and then dried it off with my WOW! dual heat gun.
Using the ink pads I smooshed some ink onto my Glass media mat and sprayed that also with water, then using an acrylic stamp block I picked up some of the ink and smooshed it onto the inked background to create extra layers of colour!

Using the Starry Night coverplate from Catherine I die cut that from the inked panel and popped out all the little stars....
(Perfect to use later on a shaker card or for little embellishments)

Using Copic markers I coloured up a heap of the little rainbows and a couple of the skates from the "Let the good times roll" stamp set from Catherine's latest release Forever 13....
(You can find the Copic combos I used for colouring on my previous Catherine Pooler blog post)

The sentiment is from the "Magnetic messages" stamp set and I heat embossed it with WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder on some black cardstock!!

All the images were added to the card base with foam tape and then finished off the card with Catherine Pooler "Crater Lake" sequins which I attached with a couple of various sizes of glue dots....

I hope you enjoy the video and feel inspired to get crafty with your coverplate dies...

For lots more coverplate fun I recommend checking out StampNation, it's a fantastic crafty community to be a part of...full of friends, fun and of course crafty inspiration!!

Happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Happy birthday muffin....!!

Hello my lovely friends...

I hope you are all doing ok with everything thats happening at the moment and that you are all safe and well!!

I have a happy and cheerful card to share with you today that will hopefully make you smile using the brand new stamp set from "Gerda Steiner Designs" called "Muffin compares to you"!!

To create this card I started with a white piece of card and using some "Catherine Pooler" inks I did some ink to paper using Lemongrass and Tiki torch...

Using the inked card I die cut the CPD Sprinkles mini coverplate and the Happy x3 word die..
This then gave me all the matching inked pieces I needed to add to my card base!!

I layered the happy x3 word with some white and black card because I love how it all looks together!!

Using Copics I coloured up the super cute little muffin cupcakes and added them to the card base with some foam tape for dimension....

I finished the card off by adding some of the sprinkles from the mini coverplate die and a touch of Crater Lake sequins!!

I think this card turned out fun and cheerful don't you think??
Hope you enjoyed it and it gets you inspired to get crafty (Some of us probably have a bit more craft time being isolated at the moment)

You're cool....!!

Hey my crafty friends....

As always I am LOVING the brand new release at "Catherine Pooler", I have been having so much fun creating with the Forever 13 release so today I have some fun pieces to share with you!!

Do you remember the cool composition note books from back in the 80's??!!
Well in this release there is a super fun bundle called "Notes & Doodles" and it is a perfect set for creating cards with the notebook look....

So for this card I created the notebook front with a shaker label...

I started with some neon pink cardstock for my base and stamped on the Composition background....

With a strip of black cardstock I added it to the side which created the notebook!!

On some Catherine Pooler premium cardstock I stamped the label out of the Composition sentiments stamp set and added in some of the co-ordinating sentiments using Lime Rickey CP ink!!

I die cut the label with the co-ordinating dies and then made a frame out of white cardstock  with two of the other dies which were used to create my shaker lid (I also cut a label die out of some acetate)...

I filled the shaker with the AWESOME new sequin mix "Paisley park"....Loving it!!!!!
Anyone who knows me know I love a good sequin mix hehe!!

In the Forever 13 release there is also a super cool stamp set called "Let the good times roll" and I could not wait to colour these skates up so I thought it would be fun to share with you my Copic combos for them....

They will most certainly be added to a card very soon!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you feel inspired to get crafty and also try out these Copic combinations, Hugz Ashlee

Hey everyone...

"Create a Smile stamps" brand new release is coming this week and it has some stamp sets in it that are perfectly fitting for the current things we have going on in the world at the moment.... Christine couldn't have picked a better time to make stamps like these!!

The stamp sets I've used for this card are...
- Oh poo
- Shit happens (also available in German)

along with a brand new stencil called Bubble rays!!

To create my card I started off with a white base and stamped on a mix of the sentiments from the shit happens set using Memento tuxedo black ink....

Using the bubble rays stencil I added in some pattern to the base with Hickory smoke distress oxide ink!!

I then coloured two of the toilet rolls and a pile of poop using Copic markers and arranged them on the card base with foam for added dimension....

I hope you like this funny card and keep an eye out for all the new release hitting the CAS store on 27th March!!

Hope you are all getting lots of crafty time in while isolating and keep safe,

ALICE is coming to Miss Ink Stamps....!!

Hey my friends....

There is a brand new release coming soon at "Miss Ink stamps" and it is so AWESOME, your totally going to love it!!

Tonight I have a sneak peek card to share with you using the stamp set called ALICE!!

For my card I couldn't resist using the "ALICE background" stamp from a previous Miss Ink stamps release....

Using this stamp I created a fun background by starting off with a watercolour card stock base and colouring with Catherine Pooler/Ken Oliver colour burst powders spirited with water ....

Once the base was all dry I stamped the ALICE background using WOW! embossing ink and heat embossed with WOW! clear gloss powder....

The final step to the background was to rub Midnight CP ink all over the base and wiping off the excess with a wipe to reveal a pretty background!!

I coloured up Alice with Copic markers, here is the list for you....

SKIN - E50, E51, E53, E55, R20
HAIR -
DRESS -
APRON/TIGHTS -

I added ALICE to the base with some foam tape to make her pop off the card a little and finished it all off with a sentiment from the same stamp set and a touch of sequins oh and the super cute little drink me bottle!!

Miss Ink is having a giveaway for the new release so be sure to pop on over to their Instagram page to get your entry in to win some new goodies!!

MARCH club sursee....!!

Hey my crafty peeps!!

It's one of my favourite times of the month.....
"Catherine Pooler's" CLUB SURSEE is arriving in mail boxes, yippee!!

I have a whole bunch of rainbow themed cards to share with you using the goodies from the MARCH club sursee!!

(I'm currently addicted to making rainbow cards so be prepared for more lol)

Using the Scallop border die I thought it would be so fun to create a rainbow of fringe to go all over the card base and I'm so happy with the end result!!

A fun spring sentiment along with a touch of Crater Lake sequins finished this card off....

How cute are these sweet little bunches of flowers??!!
They work perfectly with a colourful stamped background using the Springtime elements stamp set and CP inks to create a quick CAS card....

Continuing on with the rainbow theme I used the stitched border from blue skies ahead stamp set to create a rainbow background panel where I then added on top the Puddle Jumper die cut....

A gorgeous pink umbrella and some fussy cut sentiments along with sequins of course was the perfect combo!!

I rainbow of rain drops anyone??!!
How cool would it be if it rained rainbow coloured rain hehe....

I always enjoy getting to create with my club sursee goodies and being able to create a set of cards that all match. Do you create matching sets of cards? They are great for giving as a gift to someone too!!

I hope you enjoyed my rainbow post today and I highly recommend checking out club sursee if you haven't done so already!!

There is two different subscription options for sursee...
BASIC - Two stamp sets
DELUXE - Two stamp sets and dies plus whatever CP decides to add in

Thanks so much for stopping by, I will be back with more Catherine Pooler inspiration very soon!! Hugz Ashlee

Just for you....!!

Hey my crafty friends....

Have you seen this months release from "Create a smile stamps"??!!

This super cute little bunny from the set "Happy easter" was calling to go on a card ready for easter time, which will be here before we know it!!

I wanted to create a fun little garden scene perfect for the bunny so I first stamped the "Finally spring" and then stamped the "Just for you" all using Memento tuxedo black ink...

Using a die from Your next stamp "Stitched grass" I die cut some grass using MFT cardstock and of course we needed some cute easter eggs so I added a couple eggs from the Lawn Fawn die "Mini easter eggs" also with MFT cardstock....

I blended on some clouds using Distress Oxide ink in Hickory smoke...
(This may be a little sneaky peek of a new stencil hehe!!)

A touch of Catherine Pooler sequins for some bling and the card was complete...

A fun spring card all ready for Easter, I hope you enjoy my new card..
Happy crafting, Hugz Ashlee

Release day....!!

Yipppppeeeeee.....
It's release day at "Catherine Pooler" for the brand new FOREVER 13 collection!!!!

Everything is all up in the CPD store ready for you to shop for your new crafty goodies, and I think with everything that is going on around the world at the moment we need a little happiness to arrive in our mailboxes!!

I got to work with the "Fresh and Fruity" bundle for this release so I created lots of bright and cheery fruity cards that I will be sharing with you all....

Today my card uses the "Sweet Life" stamp set along with the "Happy x3" die from the previous in the kitchen release!!

To create this card I started off with a white card base and I stamped a mix of the super cute watermelons and strawberries using my CP inks in the colours....

- Melon Ice
- Grass skirt
- Samba

- Rockin red
- Grass skirt

I die cut the Happy x 3 die with three different colours of cardstock which I then layered all together, I just love sentiment dies where you can add the layers of shadow to them...

Using the "So happy sentiments" stamp set I stamped the FOR YOU sentiment onto some white card with Grass skirt and mounted it in some of the same colours I used when die cutting the happy!!

A touch of sequins from the "Phoenix" mix and it was complete....

I had so much fun playing with these fun fruits....
I hope you like my new release card and be sure to come back soon to see lots more using this fresh and fruity bundle!!

Happy crafting everyone, big Hugz Ashlee

Get well soon....!!

Hey everyone...
I have a fun technique to share using some WOW! embossing powder and double sided tape up on the "Miss Ink Stamps" blog....

This technique is perfect to use with any of your Miss Ink Stamps, for this example I have used the beautiful Gardenia stamp set along with a sentiment from Magnolia sympathy!!
Such an easy and fun way of adding embossing powder stripes to any card!!
I hope you like it and I'd love to see your cards using this technique...
Happy crafting, hugs Ashlee

Forever 13.....!!

Hey my crafty friends....

WOOHOO......
There is a brand new release about to hit town from "Catherine Pooler" and it's full of fun, memories and fruity goodness!!

Today I'm going to share a set of cards with you that I made using the "Fresh & Fruity" bundle plus a couple CP dies from the last in the kitchen release "Picture frame" and "Stitched squares"!!

To create these cards I started off with a white card base and then stamped a whole bunch of the gorgeous fruits with Catherine Pooler inks....
- Melon Ice
- Grass skirt
- Orange twist
- Tiki torch
- Tiara

I just love how there is different stamps for the fruits to create different layers of colour, there is also co-ordinating dies for the fruits so you can cut them out too if you want!!

I stamped the sentiments using Catherine Pooler Midnight ink and then mounted in cardstock to match ink colours I'd used...

Then using more co-ordinating cardstock colours I did cut the stitched squares and picture frames to layer underneath the sentiments to make the sentiments pop!!

I can't go by without finishing of my cards with some beautiful CP sequins of course....
We can't forget the bling right??!!

There is so many more amazing products coming in this release and I can't wait for you all to get your hands on them and get crafty because YAY for new crafty goodies!!

I'll be back with more new release projects very soon....

Old Glory....!!

Hey my embossing friends...

I'm up on the "WOW! embossing blog" this week and I have a card to share with you that I made featuring the brand new "Old Glory" embossing powder!!

Old Glory is full of a mix of different grades of powders and it is absolutely stunning once embossed....

I wanted to create a card that would have a pop of the Old Glory so to do this I got a piece of red cardstock and covered a whole panel of it in double sided tape...

I used the tape instead of embossing ink to see how it would work to do a large area and I thought it worked well to hold all the different grades of powder in place while I embossed with my WOW! dual heat gun!!

Once my panel was embossed I die cut it using the Trinity stamps slimline stitched card panel...

I coloured up a bunch of super cute images from the Waffle Flower stamp set Secret Admirer with Copic markers and die cut them using the co-ordinating dies...

I added all the images to my card base with foam tape for dimension and finished off the card with a touch of Catherine Pooler Crater Lake sequins!!

There is so many brand new products in the WOW! shop at the moment and they are all AMAZING, you totally need to check them out...

I hope you enjoy my latest WOW! embossed card and feel inspired to get creative with yours.
Happy crafting, hugs Ashlee.
