Christmas tags....!!

Hey everyone...

I'm up on the "Gerda Steiner" blog today with a post sharing these tags
perfect for Christmas gifts featuring the santa and reindeers from the "Reindeer and a tree" set!!....

To create the tag bases I used a die from Honeybee stamps called "Scallop sqaure gift tag" and stamped them with a background stamp from "Catherine Pooler" called "Plaid background"

I coloured up these cuties from the "Reindeer and a tree" stamp set with Copic markers and added them to a fun snowy scene I created using distress oxide ink, some opaque white paint and a hill using a die from "Hello Sweetums" called "Slippery slopes"

I added the characters to the tags with some foam tape for added dimension and finished them both off with some pretty sequins and some ribbon to tie the tag onto a gift....

I hope you enjoy my tag inspiration today and I will be back soon with some more creations to share with you!!

November club sursee....!!

Hey my crafty friends...

I wanted to pop in and share with you a whole bunch of cards I created using the latest club sursee from  "Catherine Pooler"....

Club sursee is an amazing monthly subscription with two options...
Basic - Two stamp sets
Deluxe - Two stamp sets and dies along with any other surprise CP decides to add in.

I enjoy getting this every month, it's always super exciting to see what it is!!

All the cards I have to share with you are using only the products in the sursee and
CP inks/sequins.

I just love how the butterflies have different layer stamps so that you can stamp the butterfly outline and add in beautiful solid ink colours to them...

Ink colours I used are :
- Tiara
- Tiki torch
- Party dress
- Tutti frutti
- Midnight

I added some Crater lake sequins for a bit of bling....

I enjoy using multiple colours of ink on one stamp and slightly blending them directly on the stamp with a brush, this technique works well on the sentiments as well as the solid butterfly stamp pieces ending in such pretty results!!

Inked butterflies and beautiful sentiments...
perfect for pretty cards and many occasions!!

I hope you like all my cards for this months sursee!!

Do you wanna build a snowman....?!

Hey everyone....

I'm here today with some new "Miss Ink stamps" inspiration for you and this card features all new products from MIS latest release!!

I created a fun background scene using the "Snowy village" and "Pine forest" by just stamping the snowy village first in Memento tuxedo black ink and then stamping the pine forest slightly over the top....

To give the background a beautiful shimmer I added on some WOW! sparkles to areas that are snowy....

Using the "Snow buddies" I stamped, coloured and cut out three of the characters and added them to the snowy scene with some foam tape for dimension....

(All images were coloured with Copics but I'm so sorry I totally forgot to track my colours this time, oopsies!!)

I just love the Do you want to build a snowman sentiment so I had to add that to the card!!

A touch of sequins and the card was finished....

Hope you like this snowy scene card, Happy crafting everyone

Happy mail emboss resist....!!

Hey everyone...

I am up on the "WOW! embossing" blog today and I have a couple of cards to share using our monthly theme Emboss resist along with two brand new stamp sets to the WOW! range that I designed called "Paper hugs" and "Hooray"!!

For both of these card I used some Ken Oliver watercolour cardstock, heat embossed the envelope background stamp with WOW! Opaque bright white powder and then coloured using Colour bursts....

For this first card once all the embossing and colouring was done I cut all the envelopes into singles. Then using the background stamp I stamped it onto my card base with some Memento tuxedo black ink and coloured in the envy using Copic C00, C1 and C4.

I layered the emboss resisted envelopes onto the stamped image using some foam tape for a dimensional layer!!

Using the Hooray sentiments set I added in the Happy, happy, happy, mail...

I think the colour burst resisting the WOW! embossing is such a fun and colourful technique and its super easy too!!

For my second card I started my card base by stamping the line image three times with Memento tuxedo black ink and then added a couple of sentiments...

I added on some of the emboss resist envelopes scattered over the base using foam tape and finished the card off with a touch of Catherine Pooler Crater lake sequins!!

I hope you like these two cards and feel inspired to come and join us over in the WOW! Facebook group with our monthly theme...

I am super excited and grateful for this opportunity to design some stamp sets and I can't wait to make even more cards using them to share with you all!!

Happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Rockin Birthday....!!

Hey everyone....

I have a rocking birthday card to share with you all this week using the "Greatest hits stamp" and "die set". I absolutely love this set its so perfect for male or female cards!!

To create this card I started off with a white base and stamped the noise waves using some Memento tuxedo black ink...

I then added some sentiments using a mix of Distress oxide inks in the shades Mermaid lagoon, Twisted citron and Picked raspberry...
I stamped all three colours on a piece of the stamp and then lightly blended the edges with a blending brush so that the inks slightly mixed for a pretty rainbow of colour!!

I die cut a record out of some black and white cardstock and stamped on the Happy birthday to you sentiment on the middle piece.

Using the same colours of Distress oxide ink I mixed some on a piece of white cardstock and then cut out some of the music notes from the greatest hits die. This gave me a mix of music notes in a fun range of colours!!

I then finished the card off with a touch of sequins of course...
Thats all from me for today and I will be back with more SP inspiration for you next month,

Happy crafting everyone. Hugz Ashlee

Paper hugs....!!

Hey my crafty friends...

I am pretty excited to share this card with you as it features one of my very own stamp designs that I had the opportunity to design for "WOW! embossing"!!!!

Can you believe it, It's something I never thought I would have the opportunity to do so this is very exciting for me hehe!!

This set is called "Paper hugs" and it features a fun happy mail background image along with some sentiments and design pieces perfect for creating cards for crafty friends!!

To create the background I used a fun emboss resist technique...

I stamped the happy mail background stamp with WOW! embossing ink onto some Ken Oliver watercolour cardstock and then heat embossed with Opaque bright white embossing powder.

Then using some colour burst powders from MFT stamps by Ken Oliver I sprinkled on a mix of powders and spirited them with water to create a beautiful mix of colour!!

The embossing powder resists the colour burst powders and leaves such a pretty result!!

I coloured in the super cute bear on his bike from the "Create a smile stamps" set "Bearmail" (one of my absolute fave CAS stamp sets) with Copic's and added it to a "Postage edge" cool cut piece....

To finish the card off I heat embossed the Paper hugs sentiment using WOW! Opaque bright white powder on some black cardstock and fussy cut it out, a touch of sequins and it was all complete!!

I really hope you enjoy seeing a way of using my stamp set, I'd love to know what you think!!

Happy embossing everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Oh Christmas tree....!!

Hey everyone...

Have you seen the super awesome new release at "Create a smile stamps" yet..?!
There is so many amazing products in it, the release is huge!!!!

I love this new cool cut die "Christmas tree"...
It's perfect for shaker cards so I couldn't wait to create one with it!!

I made a base with a lightly inked background using hickory smoke distress oxide ink and the CAS stencil "Twinkle"....

The Christmas sentiment is also a new cool cut called "Christmas x3" which I cut two of the layers, one in black and one red...

It's so fun that you can layer this die in different colours/ways!!

I filled the shaker with some beautiful rhinestones from Studio Katia and some sequins from Catherine Pooler....

I really like the end result and I hope you do too.
Happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Emboss resist with Woodcut floral....!!

Hey everyone

I'm up on the blog today at "Miss Ink stamps" and I have created a Christmas card using a fun emboss resist technique by using some WOW! embossing powder and watercolour inks...
To start the card I grabbed a piece of Ken Oliver watercolour cardstock and cut it to my desired size. I went over it with an anti static pad and then using WOW! embossing ink I stamped the Woodcut floral background stamp and on another piece of card three of the flowers. I then covered over the stamped image with Opaque bright white embossing powder, tipped off the excess and heat embossed.

Onto the next step colouring the embossed pieces... for this I spritzed the paper with water and then added on drops of Watermelon and Frida Jane Davenport watercolour ink, spirited with more water (dabbed off with a paper towel) and then kept repeating until I had my desired amount of colour.
Using a peace die from MFT I die cut that from a piece of card covered in double sided adhesive and then covered in Your carriage awaits sparkles...

I layered on the flowers and finished off the card with a touch of sequins!!
I hope you like my new card and feel inspired to try this technique...

Meant to bee....!!

Hello my crafty friends....

I have a card to share with you today featuring the fabulous "Hey honey" stamp and co-ordinating die set along with the "Honeycomb" stencil from "SugarPea designs"....

Using some Distress oxide inks in the shades Scattered straw, Mustard seed and Wild honey I created a background using the Honeycomb stencil....
I then stamped on a sentiment from the Hey honey stamp set using some Memento tuxedo black ink!!

I stamped the bear onto some Neenah desert storm cardstock and die cut it with the co-ordinating dies along with the pieces for his nose which I inked with Tea dye and Ground espresso....
Using Mustard seed and Carved pumpkin I stamped the base of the sweet bees and then added on their striped/wings with black ink.
Cut them out with the dies and placed them into the honeycomb!!

Some sequins placed around in the honeycomb finished off the card perfectly and that was the card complete!!

I think the bear is just too cute, I can definitely see him making an appearance on many more of my cards in the future...

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the inspiration!!

Sparkly snow angels....!!

Hey my crafty friends...
I am up on the "Gerda Steiner designs" blog today with a brand new card to share with you using the super fun set "Snow angel"...

I couldn't wait to colour up these snow cuties and add them to a sparkly card!!

To start the card I created a super, super sparkly card base using a brand new sparkle from WOW! embossing called Starlight and boy oh boy is it beautiful!!

To do this I just covered a piece of cardstock in double sided adhesive, removed the adhesive cover and then tipped on the sparkles over the whole piece. I then tipped off the excess and burnished it in with a bone folder.

It's so hard to capture in the photos just how sparkly this is IRL...

Using a die from Catherine Pooler called "Chalkboard frames" I cut out one of each frame in a silver shimmer card and layered them on different angles on the base...

Using the Merry from the snow angels set I stamped that with tuxedo black memento ink, fussy cut around it and then added a larger christmas sentiment from Create a smile stamps called "Christmas x3"....

I coloured up the adorable snowman and santa using copics, cut them out and then added them onto my base with some foam tape for dimension....

I just love these Christmas cuties...

Because you can never have too much sparkle I finished the card off with a few CP Tinseltown sequins!!

I hope you enjoy my new card, I will be back with some more "Gerda Steiner designs" inspiration for you later in the month!!

Happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee

WOW! and Gerda Steiner Designs blog hop....!!

Hey everyone....

There is a super fun blog hop colab underway with WOW! embossing and Gerda Steiner designs and trust me you are totally going to want to hop along because it is full of amazing creations!!

I have two cards to share with you using a combination of the companies and for both of my cards I was inspired by a technique shared by the lovely Jennifer McGuire lately where she uses stencils and glitter so I thought why not try the same technique with embossing powder!!

This first card uses the embossing powder with the technique so what I did was cut a piece of cardstock with double sided adhesive to the size I needed for my card base and then placed the stencil over the top of the adhesive...

I tipped on my first colour of WOW! powder "Jealous guy", tipped off the excess and then removed the stencil. I then got my second colour of powder "Angel eyes" and filled in the rest of the open space on the adhesive.

Once I tipped the excess of the second colour off I then heat set it with my WOW! dual heat gun!! It resulted in a cool background with a slight crack effect in it....

I used the gorgeous stamp set "A whale of a time" from Gerda Steiner and coloured them in with Copics!!

I also heat embossed a sentiment from the same a whale of a time stamp set using Opaque bright white embossing powder...

Onto my second card...

This one uses the same technique as Jennifer did with sparkles!!

I did the same for the card base with the adhesive and then for my sparkles I picked WOW! bio sparkles Mahi, Mahi and then my second sparkles Sea fan!!

It turned out SOOOOO sparkly and pretty!!

For the images I used one of my new fave Gerda stamp sets "Ghosts"....
They have such fun and unique expressions and I love it!!

These ghosts are also perfect for use on cards any time of the year....

and how funny is that sentiment??!! hehehehe....

I heat embossed the sentiment using Opaque bright white powder on black cardstock...
I love using the white embossing powder for sentiments on different colours of card!!

Of course with any awesome blog hop there is prizes up for grabs and you certainly want to be in with the change for these goodies!!

To be in with the chance be sure to leave comments on each DT blog post (including WOW! embossing and Gerda Steiner Designs blog post)

You spin me right round....!!

Hey everyone...

I'm excited to be back with my second post as a guest with "SugarPea designs" for November and December!!

Today I'm sharing a card I created using the "Greatest hits standalone die"/"stamp set" along with the "Hey honey stamp" and "co-ordinating die"...

To start this card I got out my Distress oxide inks and blended a bright background using Picked raspberry, Mustard seed and Carved pumpkin...

It was then time to cut out multiple records using black cardstock and white for the centres so I could stamp some sentiments and patterns on some!!

I placed the records all over the background using foam tape and then cut off the excess around the edges...

I thought it would be fun to have the Hey honey bear popping up from the bottom so I stamped him with some Memento tuxedo black ink and then die cut him and the pieces for his nose. I then covered his nose pieces with some distress oxide ink!!

I finished off the card with some die cut music notes from the greatest hits die set which I also covered in distress oxide ink in Mustard seed as used in the background along with some pretty sequins for a bit of bling!!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are feeling inspired by this post and I can't wait to be back with my next one for you....
