Miss you....!!

Hey everyone....

I'm up on the blog at "Gerda steiner designs" today and I have a card to share with you that I made using the super adorable stamp set "I just miss you puppy"!!

I coloured him up using Copic sketch markers on xpress it blending cardstock, my absolute fave to use with alcohol markers.

This one is a fairly simple card with the puppy and sentiment as the main focal points...
He is just too cute sitting there in his little doggy bed!!

I hope you all like it, Crafty Hugs Ashlee.

Fun flower....!!

Hey crafty friends....

I've got some "Create a smile" inspiration to share with you today and this time I'm using the beautiful set "fun flowers" with a colourful background using alcohol inks!!

I wanted to create a rainbow of colour in the background so I grabbed a few alcohol inks and played around with them on my base until I was happy with the end result....

I stamped the large flower from the fun flowers set with Memento tuxedo black ink and coloured it in using Altenew alcohol markers.

Using some opaque white WOW embossing powder I heat set the friends sentiment from the "friends like you" set on black cardstock.

Of course I then finished off the card with some sequins!!

Hope you all enjoyed my card today.
Crafty hugz to all, Ashlee.

Flippin AWESOME....!!

Hey everyone....

I am so super in love with all the gorgeous new products now available at "Hello Sweetums".. I wanted to pop in and share a card with you that I made using the "Sea's the day" set along with the co-ordinating dies. Its full of gorgeous little mermaids and merman along with lots of sea accessories and perfect sentiments!!

I created a fun background for this one using NUVO shimmer powders... and mounted it behind a die cut base using a seashell shaker die from Studio Katia that I thought would match perfectly for the mermaids!!

The fun scene was made using the accesories by stamping in different shades of ink... Once the base was all done I added the mermaid, merman, seahorse and little fish that I had coloured with Copics to the card base using some foam tape to pop them up.

Finished off with a fun sentiment and of course a few more sequins!!

Thanks for checking out my card, I hope you have enjoyed it and dont forget to pop on over to the Hello sweetums shop and check out all the new awesome release!!

Hoppy easter with Hello Sweetums....!!

Hey everyone....

There is a brand new release live in the "Hello Sweetums" shop and OMG it is seriously awesome,
you totally need to check it out!!

I have made a few cards using the new products but this first one I have to share with you is using the set "Honey bunnies" on a fun reveal wheel card....

I thought it would be super fun to have a family of bunnies on this card all hopping around having a great old time enjoying easter hehe....

I used the Lawn fawn reveal wheel die as my card base and then added extra grass elements using a die from lawn fawn "stitched garden border" and one from your next stamp "stitched grass".

All the images are coloured up using Copic sketch markers on Xpress it blending cardstock.

I hope you like this interactive easter card...
You can also pop on over to the Hello Sweetums blog/instagram to check out lots of other creations coming from all of the team!!

Happy mail....!!

Hey everyone....

I've got a cute little stamp set to share with you from "Gerda Steiner designs"....
It's yet to be released in the store so its a sneaky peeky but its absolutely adorable!!

I will definitely be making lots of happy mail cards with it!!

To create this card I stamped the little envelope and pencil using some grey ink onto grey cardstock, I then layered on a centre card piece to add my little scene of the bunny and lots of happy mail going everywhere!!

I added a large sending sentiment die cut (from Heffy doodle) and then added the little happy mail sentiment from the set heat embossed with white on some black cardstock...

All the images are coloured up using Copic.

I just adore this tiny little set, its super sweet...
So keep an eye out for it in the store because your totally going to need it in your Gerda Steiner stamps stash!!

Kind....!!

Hey everyone....

I wanted to pop in and share a card I made using a combination of inks I was challenged to use by the lovely Erika from "Catherine Pooler designs".

The combo of CPD inks was fun to use, such lovely colours, I thought they would be perfect to make a kind uplifting friend card!!

To start with I embossed a piece of card the correct size for my card base using the "Cottage garden" background stamp with "WOW" opaque white embossing powder...

I then cut out a circle from the base and used that circle cut out to do some blending with the ink colours over the embossing....

The large kind was done using the stamp set "Kind of wonderful" and the co-ordinating die"Three of a kind"....

I love how this card came together and I had fun having a challenge of product to use when making it, I hope you like it too!!

Handmade....!!

 Hey everyone...

I've created this fun card full of crafty goodies using the set "stamping friends" from "Create a smile stamps"....

I just love this set, its super perfect to make cards with for all crafty/arty friends!!

I used lots of gold embossing powder from "WOW" embossing on this one...
I thought it would be fun to add touches of it to the images using the wow embossing pen.

The rest of the colour on the images was done with Copic.

The background I cut out from Neenah desert storm cardstock using a die from Lawn fawn called quilted backdrop, I then ink blended some brown ink part way up the card and lightly flicked on some white opaque paint.

I really enjoyed creating this card for a crafty friend, I hope you enjoy it too....

Best.... friend anyone could ask for!!

Hey everyone....

I've been having fun playing around with my "Catherine Pooler" products and some "WOW" embossing powder that was also inspired/created with Catherine to match her ink colours...
I think its such a super cool idea and I seriously hope she brings them out for every colour ink pad she has because I totally need them hehe!!

The powder I used for this one is from the "Melon ice" set in the shade honeydew.

To create this card I first blended some Catherine Pooler inks onto my cardbase, then used the "BFF background stamp" over the top and embossed with the honeydew powder.

I then embossed with opaque white powder an image from the "Grateful heart" stamp set and coloured it with Altenew water brush pens.

To finish off the card I added some sweet sentiments from Simon says stamp and some clear sequins for that bit of bling!!

I hope you enjoy the end result...
Happy crafting, Hugz Ashlee

FRIENDS....through thick and thin!!

Hi everyone...

Im up on the "Create a smile stamps" blog sharing a card I made featuring some images from the "Gull gang" stamp set and a fun alcohol ink background.

I really wanted to experiment with my alcohol inks so I thought it would be fun to try and create a background with them to replicate some water so that the gull could be floating on the log...

Using a piece of alcohol ink paper I chose two colours of alcohol ink along with gold mixative and played around with the inks until I was happy with the end result.

I then stamped, cut and coloured (with Copic) the "Gull gang" images, then mounted them into position with foam tape.
I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the "Friends like you" set on black cardstock with WOW white embossing powder

Just experiment with the alcohol inks, its super fun to see what the piece will turn out like when you have no real control of how the inks are going to end up on the paper.

Happy crafting everyone....
Hugs Ashlee.
