magnolia fish bowl

The challenge at Magnolia down under this week is alter it/recycle so I went searching the house and I found this fish bowl which had been sitting empty for ages now. So I had a think about what I could do with it and this is what I came up with....

I wanted to use some of my new stamps from the new sweet rainbow collection from magnolia, so I decided to make a little garden scene.

I addes some pretty lace and a bow to the edges of the bowl...

I used acetate to make little stands on the backs of my images so that they would stand up.

sorry about the glare on the photos it was rather hard to get no glare due to the glass bowl...

I used a magnolia doo hickey to cut out the little dragonfly I coloured it with my copics and decorated it with some liquid pearls and stickles.

I just love Hugo the snail...isnt he so cute!!

I coloured all the images with copics...

I hope you have enjoyed my post..this fish bowl will be a nice additive to my shelf.

mad for markers current tag challenge

The tag sketch challenge is on over at mad for markers and for my inspiration this week I have made a minature tag card using a mini magnolia stamp...

I have coloured my mini tilda using copics, which you can get from sammi at the mad for markers store.

The die cuts are all magnolia doo hickeys.

I added some liquid pearls and some stickles to the dragonfly and I also tried to create some little flowers on the side of the fence with the liquid pearls...not quite sure if im happy with how the flowers turned out but ohwells...lol!!

Here's a reminder of what the sketch looks like:

I hope you like my little tag card...also we would love to see you join us in the challenge, so please go to the mad for markers challenge blog and check it out.

Sammi has just posted some great hints and tips for using your copic markers..its a great read!!

Magnolia card and tag set...

This is the first time I have made a card set like this, I am really please with how it turned out...I made a cross-over card and joined the bottoms so that it would hold a card.
I also made a matching tag which I thought would be great to put on the outside of a gift once wrapped!!
I wanted to fit my creation to a colour theme of purple, peach and cream...
All my images are coloured with copics..my favourtie colouring element.

I used magnolia stamps
- edwin wants a hug
- dog from butterfly dreams collection

The fence, lace and flowers are doo hickey die's from magnolia

Here's a close up of the colouring on these images...Im loving these copic colours i've used on edwins clothing!!

Here's the tag which is attached to the main card, so special text is from magnolia.

The card on the left is from inside the main card...I used a tilda image from the butterfly dreams collection

I think the birdie's are so cute...!!

Close up of this coloured image...

Here is a photo of the whole set...

I used the sketch from the current mad for markers tag sketch challenge for this extra little tag to add to a wrapped gift...The cupcake is a mini magnolia stamp. I coloured my pearls using my copics.

Thankyou for looking at all my photos...I seemed to end up with heaps of pics for this one, I wanted to show you all the little bits and pieces...hehe!!

Please leave me your lovely comments, I love to read your feedback...
