Sweetie pie....!!

Hey my friends...

I have a new card to share that I made using the "On the table" stamp set from

The animals from the on the table set are just so cute and I wanted to make it look like the cat was up at the table eyeing off the yummy birthday pie!!

To create the table cloth I used a stamp from Waffle flower called Simply Plaids and stamped it with Catherine Pooler ink in the colour Melon Ice and Lime Rickey....

I added the die cut sentiment and pie from MFT Sweet as pie and then stamped on the sentiment "Have a sweet day" from the on the table set with Memento tuxedo black ink...

The cat is coloured up with Copic markers....
C00, C0, C2, C4, C5, R20

I added a touch of sequins from the Big Surr sequin mix from "Catherine Pooler" and the card was complete!!

I hope you enjoy this sweet as pie card!!

Queen of hearts....!!

Hey everyone....

Have you seen the fun Alice release at "Miss Ink stamps" yet??!!....

This card features the "Queen of hearts" along with "Queens castle" and the fabulous
"Pick a card" stencil. My starting point to this one was to create a queen playing card and then the rest kinda happened from there!!

I used the stencil to make a heat embossed base panel with black cardstock and WOW! clear gloss powder....

I coloured in the queen with Copic :
SKIN - E50, E51, E53, E55, R20
HAIR - YR18, YR27
DRESS - W7, W9, R17, R27, R37
CROWN - Y18, YR27

(The background was coloured with Spectrum noir tri-blend markers)

I added some Miss Ink stamps embellishments to the card too...
How cute are the teeny tiny playing cards and the little roses!!

I hope you like this Alice theme card...

Can't thank you enough set....!!

Hey my crafty friends...

I'm totally loving the "Catherine Pooler" Flutter's and blooms release....

It's a release full of so many awesome products to play with and these "Grace in bloom" flowers along with the "Happy butterflies" totally make my crafty heart beat!!

I love creating matching sets so for this one I did a card with two co-ordinating tags that were die cut using the new "Layered tag" dies...

To create these I used a grey cardstock base and stamped the Grace in bloom flower on each piece...

Using the Happy butterflies I stamped/die cut with co-ordinating dies and coloured them with Copic markers....

The butterflies were attached to the base using foam tape for dimension so they popped off the card base!!

I added the sentiment "Can't thank you enough" which I heat embossed on black cardstock using WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder and then finished them all off with Big Sur sequins!!

I hope you enjoy this set, maybe you could create a matching set too...
happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Thankful for embossing powder....!!

Hey everyone...

I have some new "WOW! Embossing" inspiration to share with you that uses the beautiful WOW! Gold pearl embossing powder....

I wanted to do some watercoloring on a floral for this one to fit with the WOW! monthly theme nature so I embossed the UC rose garden image on Uniquely Creative watercolour cardstock with gold pearl!!

To create the base of the card I used watercolour markers to do some stripes of colour...

You can get a smoother blend doing the stripes by drawing some of the watercolour marker ink onto a palette, mixing with water and using a paint brush!!

I think the WOW! gold pearl gives such a lovely subtle colour to the outline of the image along with a pretty shine up against the watercolours....

Here's a close up so you can see just how pretty this powder is!!

I hope you enjoy this card and you feel inspired to come and join us in the WOW! monthly Facebook challenge. I know the team would love to see what you come up with for the theme....

Happy embossing, Hugz Ashlee

Clear gloss embossing with background stamps....!!

Hey everyone....

I have a set of cards to share that I made using products from "Miss Ink stamps" along with WOW! clear gloss embossing powder to create awesome designs on coloured cardstock.
These are perfect to use as a main feature on simple cards by adding a sentiment and some sequins for even more shine!!

Steps for embossing...

- Select your coloured cardstock of choice.

- Use an anti static tool to get rid of any static so that your embossing powder doesn't stick all over the place.

- Use a stamp positioner for stamping so that you can stamp multiple times if need be (especially with large images just incase you miss a piece)... stamp using embossing ink,
I used the WOW! embossing ink pad its a slow dry ink giving you more time to add your powder.

- Tip on clear gloss embossing powder to cover the whole stamped area.

- Tip off excess/return to jar and then heat set using your embossing heat tool.

For my set of cards I used the awesome MIS "Woodcut floral" background stamp and then added some sentiments cut using each cards opposite colour of cardstock...

The sentiment die cuts were done using the Miss Ink stamps "Ei-Ei-o word"....
I just love this die!!

I then added some Catherine Pooler Crater lake sequins to each card to finish them off...

Hope you enjoy this matching set and feel inspired to get out some WOW! clear gloss embossing powder for your cards....

Pool friends....!!

Hey everyone....

I have a fun card to share using the awesome "Pool piggies" (co-ordinating dies also available) from "Gerda Steiner designs" for a bright and colourful friend card!!

To create my card base I used the Waffle flower colour combos dies and cut out my selected die 2 times in 3 different colours....

This gave me a mix of beautiful colours to build my background!!

I die cut the tag shape using Waffle flowers swatch tag and added that on my base using some foam tape so it sat up off the background...

I coloured in the two pool piggies using copics along with their pool floatie and added them onto the tag!!

The curved banner and roundabout sentiments are both from Heffy Doodle...

Some twine on the tag, pretty sequins and water droplets finished off the card....
I hope you enjoy this new card and feel inspired to create a bright colourful card too!!

You're so far away....!!

Hey my crafty friends...

Tonight's card features some super fun products from "Create a smile stamps"....

If you like cheeky sentiments then this set "Shit happens" is definitely for you!!
I think this sentiment set works so well with the "Gull gang" set so I made the little seagull do a poop to match hehe!!

I added the wave in the background for the water using the cling stamp "Ocean waves" which I stamped with an Altenew ink and added some sparkle using WOW! sparkles!!

The seagull and other images are all coloured with my fave medium Copics...

I hope you like this *shitty* card....

Hay there....!!

Hey everyone...

I've got a little something to share today for someone that loves reading and enjoys the farm, a bookmark using some fab stamps from "Miss Ink stamps"!!

I used the die "Mark my words" from Heffy Doodle to create the base of the bookmark and then using the "Hay there" stamp set I stamped on the farm image and coloured using a mix of Spectrum Noir ti-blend markers and Distress oxide inks....

The two distress oxide inks I used for the grass are Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn!!

I added the fun Hay there sentiment to the sky and coloured up a super cute goat from "Punny farm goats" using Copic markers....

Copics used are :
W1, W2, W4, R20

To finish it off I added some twine to the tag so you can easily find it in a book...

I hope you like this bookmark and feel inspired to create your own!!

Glintz HUGS with Ashlee....!!

Hello my lovely friends...

Today I'm sharing a floral embossed watercolour card to fit in with our current monthly theme at WOW! embossing "Nature"....!!

To create this card I started off with a piece of watercolour cardstock from "Uniquely Creative" and gave it a brush over with an anti-static tool. Then using the beautiful Huge hugs stamp set from "The Gray muse" I stamped it with WOW! embossing ink and embossed with Inca Glintz powder....

Using some watercolour paints from "The watercolour factory" I coloured all of the image in bright pretty colours!!

I just love the subtle pretty colour that you get from the WOW! Inca Glintz powder on white cardstock....

I finished the card off with a touch of "Catherine Pooler" Crater Lake sequins because I can never go past adding some of those to complete a card!!

Why don't you get out your powders and come and join us in our monthly challenge over at the WOW! Facebook pans page, I know we would all love to see what you create with your WOW! powders for the Nature theme....

Wednesday MFT sketch challenge....!!

Hey my crafty friends...

There is a brand new sketch up for Wednesday sketch challenge at "My favourite things" so I wanted to get a card in to this fun challenge...

I love MFT stamps and these cute pandas from the "Panda pals" (co-ordinating dies also available) set needed to be coloured up, they were totally calling my name!!

I really enjoy following sketches as I feel it really gets the creative juices flowing, it just gives you that starting point to get things rolling!!

I used some MFT stitched circle stax die-namics along with the die from You're A-mazing set to create the circle focal point for the pandas to go on....

How fun is the sentiment, I think it is a perfect fit for the current situation happening around the world don't you?!

The patterned paper is out of the MFT Petite plaid 6x6 pad, you can't beat a good plaid paper right!!

To finish the card off I added a little touch of bling using some Catherine Pooler sequins...

Here is a Copic colour list of the pandas for you if you would like to colour some up too...

I hope you enjoy this card and that these super sweet pandas put a smile on your face!!

I wanted to create a farm theme card with the super cute piggy from "Punny farm pigs" stamp set because I just love these little guys!!

For the base of this card I used a piece of Neenah desert storm and stamped the "Hay there" image on the top half using Altenew ink in the shade Moon rock....

I then stamped four of the streamers from the "Streamers" stamp set and coloured them with Copics....

YG21, YG23, YG25, RV21, RV23, RV25, BG32, BG34, BG49

Piggy is coloured using these Copic markers....

E50, E51, E11, E23, R20

EPIC S**T....!!

Hey my crafting friends...

I have a card to share with you tonight using a bunch of products from "Create a Smile stamps" that I used to create a bright rainbow card with a touch of cheek!!

I wanted to have a rainbow of pencils for this card so I coloured up a bunch of them from the stamp set "First day of school" using Copic markers....

(I'll add a colour list photo below)

Using the awesome "Splotch" stencil I added a rainbow blended background using Catherine Pooler inks....

I placed the stencil in three different areas on the base and added a piece of colour from the rainbow to fill each section of the stencil!!

I outlined the whole of the splotch background with a black pen and then added some white highlights on the inner edge with a white gel pen....

To finish the card off I added sentiment from the "Shit happens" set embossed on black cardstock with WOW! Opaque bright white embossing powder...

Oh and of course a touch of Crater Lake CP sequins!!

Copic colour list....

Hope you enjoy this cheery rainbow card....

Watercolour Flutters....!!

Hey everyone....

Have you been to check out the AMAZING new release "FLUTTERS & BLOOMS" at "Catherine Pooler" yet?!

I have had heaps of fun creating a matching set of cards with a watercolour technique using the beautiful Happy butterflies, Garden's edge die and the Flower burst coverplate...

For all the cards I added a watercolour technique to them using these colours of CP ink...

- Rocking Red
- Orange Twist
- Tiara
- Lime Rickey
- Fiesta blue

For this first card I followed the watercolour technique I explain below before die cutting with
the Flower burst coverplate. However you could still achieve a similar look by applying the colour after it has been die cut!!

To add the colour to all the cards I used a stamp block and swiped some of the ink onto the block. I then gave the ink a spray with water and smooshed it down onto my card base....

In between adding some of the colours I used my WOW! dual heat tool to dry them!!

The black images and sentiments are all stamped using CP Midnight ink....

It's a super awesome black ink this one, it gives great stamped impressions everytime!!

I am now totally hooked on using these inks for watercolour techniques, I'm certainly going to be playing around with them some more!!

The pretty mix of colours works so well with those Happy butterflies...
Perfect stamps and dies to use for any occasion!!

I really enjoy making matching card sets and I'm so happy with how these ones turned out, what do you think??!!

Thanks for stopping by, Hugz Ashlee

WOW! embossing and Picket Fence HOP....!!

Hey my crafty friends...

Welcome to a super fun two day blog hop with WOW! embossing and Picket Fence studiosBoth the teams have combined to share lots of fun and inspiration with you using a mix of goodies from both companies!!

I chose to use a super cool stamp from Picket Fence called "Mixed tape"...
Such a fun retro stamp that certainly brings back memories of those old cassette tapes!!

Using the fabulous WOW! Sparkles in the colour mix Flamingo I added some to the mixtape's by adding NUVO deluxe adhesive glue to certain pieces...

I think this added a fun sparkly touch to the tapes!!

I added some WOW! embossing to the cards by using sentiments from my WOW! stamp set "Hooray" with Opaque bright white...

On one of the cards the sentiments were done on colourful cardstock die cuts of the "Speech bubbles" from Create a Smile stamps and the other some colourful strips!!

I hope you enjoy both my mix tape cards using products from these two great companies...!!

SMILE....!!

Hey crafty friends....

I've got a card to put a SMILE on your face using the super cute turtle from the "Gerda Steiner designs" stamp set "Hello friend"....

To create this card I started with a green cardstock base and stamped the CP Composition notebook background on it using Melon Ice ink...

I then die cut the MFT big SMILE sentiment using grey cardstock and added each letter to the base on a slight angle...

I die cut the MFT trendy tag die and stamped the Composition background on it using the same Melon Ice ink colour, a grey frame and some black/white twine finished off the tag element...

I then added the turtle that I coloured up using Copic markers along with a touch of sequins!!

I hope you like this card and it brings you a little happy!!
