Wanna build a snowman....?!

Hey everyone....

There is a brand new release called Retro Christmas now available at "Catherine Pooler" and boy oh boy is it AWESOME!!!!!

I am so in love with this new set I have used for this card...

"Build a snowman" is full of so many fun pieces and accessories to build your very own stamped snowman with never ending possibilities!!

Using the "Starry night coverplate" die I cut it from white cardstock then blended some CP inks and splattered with white paint for a fun sky element...

I stamped my snowmen accessories with the new Hot tub ink and the cute little carrot noses with the new Orange peel ink...

There is four brand new ink colours released which finishes off the Urban Oasis ink collection and they are all so beautiful!!...

I stamped the "In the meadow we can build a snowman" sentiment to the card base using Midnight ink and added on my snowmen all dressed up!!

A touch of Crater lake sequins and the card was complete...

I can't wait to make more super cute snowmen!!

You totally need to check out all the Retro Christmas release, there is so many awesome new goodies and ink pads how can you go past new CP ink pads right??!!

I will be back with lots more inspiration for CP's release but for now happy crafting everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Glittery celebration....!!

Hey everyone....

I've recently been inspired by a fantastic technique that Jennifer McGuire has been using with stencils and glitter so I had to try it out for my "Miss Ink stamps" inspiration this week!!

To do this technique all you need to do is have a piece of cardstock with double sided adhesive over the whole piece for your base. You then place whichever stencil you want to use over the adhesive, I used the "Leafy green" stencil for mine...

Once your stencil is stuck down cover over it with a glitter of choice...

I used WOW! sparkles Frisky for my first colour!!

Tip all the excess glitter back into the pot and then remove the stencil....

Choose another glitter, I used WOW! Bridal and cover over all the rest of the open adhesive area....

You then have a super sparkly and pretty background for any card!!

I coloured up the "Have heart" image from the latest release with Altenew brush markers in the colours WG01, WG03, WG05 and added it to the card base with some foam for a bit of dimension.

Using the "Streamers" co-ordinating die I added the celebrate sentiment and finished it off with a small embossed let's sentiment on black cardstock with opaque bright white WOW! embossing powder!!

A touch of sequins and the card was finished..

I hope you like it, I am absolutely loving this technique Jennifer shared and I am definitely going to be using it on many more cards in the future!!
(I may already have more coming with this technique hehe)

A sparkly Christmas....!!

Hey everyone....

I'm up on the "WOW! embossing" blog today with this card and guess what there is some brand new sparkles on the block which I could not wait to create something super sparkly with!!

The sparkles I used on this one is called "Dancing green" and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

To create this card I cut a card base to size and added some double sided adhesive to it which I then covered in the Dancing green sparkles....

I then got another piece of cardstock to layer over the top and I die cut the Geo floral background die from Pinkfresh studio...
This die cut creates a beautiful pattern for the sparkles to show through!!

Using some Mettalic gold rich regular powder I embossed the fun sentiment on some vellum and added it over the card die cut base securing it at the back so you can't see any adhesive....

(Sentiments from MFT stamp set Sassy pants holiday)

I added on a Metallic gold rich embossed ribbon to the card using a die cut from Pretty pink posh.

I finished off the card with a touch more sparkles with some sequins because you can never have too much bling!!

I thought it would be fun to create a matching tag to go with the card, this could be added onto a bottle of wine or cocktail mix for a perfect Christmas gift!!

(Tag created with MFT Fold up tag die-namics)

I hope you enjoy this tag and card set and it gets you inspired to start creating for the holiday season which is soon going to be here, Christmas here we come!!

Happy embossing everyone, Hugz Ashlee

Spooktacular....!!

Hey everyone....

I've got a spooktacular slim line card to share with you all today using the set "Fab-boo-lous friend" from "Hello Sweetums latest release!!

I'm loving creating slim line cards at the moment, they are so much fun!!

To start this card I used distress oxide inks to create a blend of colour and then using some black cardstock I cut a piece to fit over the top and die cut some windows so the ink blended background would show through...

I stamped, coloured and die cut three little ghosties and added sweet accessories to all of them. I love how the ghosts can carry the adorable pumpkin bucket and lollies!!

I heat embossed a sentiment using WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder on black cardstock and added a piece of it to each window....

Finished the card off with a touch of sequins for a bit of bling!!

Hope you like my spooktacular card today, Happy crafting all!!

Boo-tiful day....!!

Hey my crafty friends....

Halloween is nearly here so I have spooky inspiration for you all using a brand new stamp from "Miss Ink stamps" called "Woodgrain background".....

This one is a large background set with additional images that you can stamp into the woodgrain, which I think is really cool to be able to change the background up for different uses!!

Using a piece of Neenah dessert storm cardstock I ink blended around the edges into the middle using distress oxide inks in the shades Tea dye, Ground espresso and Black soot....

I then stamped the large woodgrain pattern with WOW! embossing ink and heat embossed it with opaque bright white embossing powder!!

I stamped the spooky eye image into the woodgrain using some Memento tuxedo black ink and then heat embossed a sentiment from the "Boo crew" stamp set also with the opaque bright white embossing powder!!

A touch of sequins and the card was finished....

Have you got your halloween cards prepared?! I can't wait for trick or treat time with my little one, she absolutely loved her first one last year!!

Blown away....!!

Hey everyone....

Today I have a creation to share with you using some crafty goodies from "Create a smile stamps"....

The stamp set I used on this one is called "Sweater weather" and it is from the latest release at CAS. It's a super cool set for of adorable critters and some fabulous sentiments to match!!

To start this card I created a base with some ink blended clouds using the "Clouds" stencil and some distress oxide inks. I then stamped on top of one of the clouds the "blown away by your awesomeness" sentiment in black ink....

I used my brother scan and cut to cut out the cute critter with his kite along with some of the leaves...

Once they were cut out I added some foam tape to the back of them and arranged them all onto the card base to look like the critter is flying away in the sky with his kite!!

I finished it off with some CP crater lake sequins...

All images are coloured with Copics
(You can find the Copic combo inspiration on my instagram - Ashbie1412)

Hope you have enjoyed this card, Happy crafting all

Happy wishes....!!

Hey everyone....

I have some new inspiration for you for our current theme Christmas at WOW! embossing powder this month....

I wanted to create a card using the "Garden gate" die from Catherine Pooler as a heat embossed background element so I got two colours of powder Primary apple red and Aventurine to create a mix of embossed colour.

To do the mix of two colours I first die cut the garden gate out of white cardstock and then covered in WOW! embossing ink.

I tipped on some Apple red in patches and then quickly tipped over to release the excess powder. Using the Aventurine powder I covered all the empty areas, tipped off the excess and heat embossed with my WOW! dual heat tool....

This gave a super cool mix of colours!!

I die cut the "Happy" from red and black cardstock and layered them slightly offset.

Using Opaque bright white embossing powder I heat embossed the wishes sentiment onto some black cardstock which I then fussy cut and added on top of the happy!!

To finish off the card in true Ashlee fashion some Crater lake sequins....

Hope you like my latest inspiration and you come on over and join us in the WOW! embossing powder fans Facebook group....

Boo you....!!

Hey everyone...

I'm up on the blog at "Gerda Steiner designs" and I have a new card to share featuring the super awesome set "Ghosts" which I just love!! (Co-ordinating dies also available)

These ghosts have the coolest expressions, they are so much fun and I think they will be perfect to use on cards any time of the year....

For example this card is a birthday one!!

To start this card I created a fun base using Flock powder from WOW! embossing...

I cut my base in Neenah desert storm cardstock and then using some double sided tape I added strips of it to the base. I first did some striped in the Pink flock and then some strips in the Bright blue flock. The pink strips picked up a bit of the blue but I did'nt mind the colour mix effect that it gave!

I coloured up the 4 ghosts using Copic markers in low C shades and cut out a fun sentiment to go with them using some "Uniquely creative" alpha dies "BOO YOU".

How old I embossed with WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder on black cardstock. This sentiment is also from the ghosts stamp set....

I hope you enjoy my latest inspiration as much as I enjoyed creating it!!
Happy crafting, Hugz Ashlee

Don't wait for the stars...!!

Hey everyone....
I have a fun slimline scene card to share with you all today featuring the super cool "Unstoppable" stamp set from "Miss Ink stamps"!!
Slimline cards are very popular right now and I can totally understand why because once you start making them it's hard to stop hehe....
They are perfect for creating scenes on because you can fit lots of elements into the one card!!

To create this card I started out with my white card base and then using some die-cuts from "Hello Sweetums" I cut out the "Moutains of magic" and "Slippery slopes" which I inked with Distrress oxide inks in the colours Cracked pistachio, Mowed lawn, Pine needles, Tea dye and Ground espresso. I also created an inked sky using Mermaid lagoon and Blueprint sketch.

I stamped coloured and cut the two dinosaurs and one tree, here are the colours I used to colour them....
Dinosaurs (Altenew markers) -G702, G715, G554
Tree (Spectrum noir tri-blend markers) - Ice grey blend, Citrus green blend, Jade green blend, Earth brown blend
I added all the elements to my card base with foam tape for added layers of dimension and then finished the card off with a touch of sequins in the sky.
I hope you enjoy this slimline card, Happy crafting.

Thinking of you rainbow....!!

Hey crafty friends...

I felt like a rainbow of colour needed to happen so I pulled out an array of distress oxide inks that I could use to create some "Miss Ink stamps" rainbow inspiration!!

To start this card I blended on distress oxides in the shades...
Wilted violet, Salty ocean, Twisted citron, Mustard seed, Carved pumpkin and Picked raspberry!!

Once the ink was all dry I used an anti static pillow over it and then stamped the beautiful Gardenia flower all over the background using some WOW! embossing ink which I then heat embossed with Metallic gold sparkle powder....

I coloured in a couple of the flowers from the gardenia set using Spectrum noir tri-blend markers and a couple of the sweet little bees from the "Alice background" (those were coloured with Copic)...

Using some WOW! opaque bright white powder I then heat set the "thinking of you" sentiment from the "Magnolia sympathy" set on black cardstock!!

Finishing off the card I attached some pretty CP Crater lake sequins to the card base using Micro glue dots. I absolutely love these micro dots for attaching sequins, they are the perfect size to fit underneath them and there is no mess of liquid glue (also don't have to wait for the glue to dry hehe)....

Hope you like this latest crafty inspiration!!

Some buggie....!!

Hey my crafty friends...

It's time for some Buggy inspiration using the super adorable "Bitty bugs" stamp and co-ordinating die set!!

I'm totally loving creating slim line cards and I couldn't resist making a happy garden scene full of lots of these cute bugs....

To start I cut my slim line base and inked the top half with some Distress oxides in the shade Mermaid lagoon. I then cut three pieces to fit the base using the "Grass is greener" die and inked them all with Twisted citron and Mowed lawn...

I added all the grass pieces onto my base with different levels of foam tape so it gave me different layers of grass to add the bigs in too....

All the bugs were coloured using Copics which I then die cut with the co dies and added them to the base to create my scene...

There is a sentiment in the Bitty bugs set that has a co-ordinating die that cuts around it which is so fun. I stamped that with Mermaid lagoon ink and then used that co die to cut it out and add it to the bottom of my card.

Finished the card off with a touch of sequins from the Catherine Pooler Charleston mix...

Hope you like my card today, and I hope to have inspired you all to get creative with your Hello Sweetums cuties!!

Happy crafting, Hugs Ashlee

Embossed Christmas chipboard....!!

Hey everyone....

I'm up on the "WOW! embossing powder" blog today sharing some Christmas inspiration which is our theme this month at WOW! embossing!!

To create this one I used some chipboard pieces from "Make it crafty" and heat embossed them in some beautiful powders....

For the wreath piece I used "Diamond white" embossing powder and for the Merry Christmas I used "Metallic gold sparkle"....

(Just a note, unfortunately diamond white powder is going to be discontinued soon so if you don't currently have that beauty in your stash I'd totally suggest getting your hands on one quick if you can.....It's so pretty)

I love using my WOW! embossing powders to cover chipboard pieces, its such an easy way of adding colour and sparkle to any piece!!

I added both of my chipboard pieces to a grey cardstock base with some glue and then added some pretty sequins from a Catherine Pooler mix called Vegas baby....

Using embossed chipboard pieces is an easy way to create such beautiful cards in a small amount of time if you are a little short on that...

I hope you like this Christmas card and will come and join us this month with our monthly theme over in the WOW! embossing powder fans Facebook group....
I'd love to see your beautiful Christmas cards!!

Happy crafting everyone, until my next post

This new trio of powders is SO cool, they have chunky pieces in them as well as glitter and when they are embossed they are just so pretty!!

Once the embossed base was done I stamped the Tractor and trees with CP inks in the colours Spruce, Mardi gras, Black jack and Icing on the cake....

I then die cut them all with the co-ordinating dies!!

Using the "Merry christmas layered word" die I cut the bottom in white card and the main writing with black card and glued it down...

To top off the main sentiment I heat embossed the "Have a" from the "Holiday mix" stamp set with WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder on black cardstock....

And of course to finish the whole card off some Crater lake sequins!!
