Just a note....!!

Hey everyone...

I decided it was about time to get my watercolours out and get creative with them....

I have a bit of a thing where I like to collect watercolours but many of them are still unused hehe oops, do you have a crafty item you love to collect?

I picked a colour palette of Yellow, Orange and green watercolours and used the smooshing technique to add them to my card!!

I used the gorgeous "Magnolia sympathy" stamp set from "Miss Ink stamps" and stamped it onto my card base using black ink...

I then layered one colour on at a time by grabbing some of the watercolour and placing it onto my glass work surface, mixing in some water and then picking it up with a piece of acetate to then smoosh it over the images...

I love the fun messy watercolour look that it gives...

To finish off the card I added the "Just a note" sentiment and a touch of Crater lake sequins!!

Hope you like this card, It has certainly sparked my love for watercolour again and you will be seeing more watercolour on my cards again very soon!!

Happy crafting and happy new year....

December sursee....!!

Hey everyone...

The December Club sursee from "Catherine Pooler" has been arriving in mail boxes and boy oh boy is it amazing....

This sursee if full of absolutely gorgeous images including a stunning floral piece and a fabulous sentiment die "Just because"!!

To create this card I masked off a rectangle piece on my card base and then used some CP inks to blend on some colour!! Once the blending was done I stamped the lucky me floral using Midnight ink over the blended area....

Using the just because die cut I cut it three times, one black, one white and one orange...
I then glued them offset to each other creating a fun layered effect!

A touch of Phoenix CP sequins and it was complete.

This next card I created a colour filled background using the "Made my day" stamp set and my CP mini inks...

I then stamped the "Lucky me" floral and coloured it using my spectrum noir tri-blend markers.
Using some Party dress ink I stamped the "You made my day" circle sentiment and fussy cut it out so that I could add it on top of the floral piece.

For this next card I added a pattern to the background with the "Made my day" stamp set and my CP mini inks.

Then using the same lucky me floral stamp I coloured that again with some different colours of Spectrum noir ti-blend markers. A large sentiment and a touch of sequins finished this card off.

I just love how beautiful the images are and the lovely sentiments match perfectly with it!!

If you haven't checked out the Club sursee subscription just yet I highly recommend you do...
It's fantastic value and it is always so much fun having a wonderful happy mail surprise arrive each month!!

There is two different sub option for sursee too,
Basic or Deluxe...

Basic included two stamp sets and the deluxe includes two stamp sets and dies plus whatever CP decides to add in hehe!!

I'll be back with more sursee inspiration for you soon....
Happy crafting, Hugz Ashlee

Merry Christmas....!!

Hey everyone....

Today I'm up on the "Gerda Steiner designs" blog....
I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas and are enjoying the holidays!!

Seeing as Christmas is technically over for another year I thought I'd finish off my last post on the GSD blog for this year with another Christmas card and this one features images from the fabulous "Snow angel" set and a sentiment from the "Holiday friends" set from Gerda Steiner designs....

To create this card I stamped a fun background pattern from MFT and then added in the sentiments from the Holiday friends set using a red coloured MFT ink....

I then coloured up the cute images from snow angel with Copic markers and added them to the card base using some foam tape....

I like using foam tape to add my pieces as it gives dimension to the card instead of it being all flat so it makes pieces pop!

A touch of sequins for some bling and the card was all finished....

Happy crafting and hugs Ashlee

whats the date?!

Hey my crafty friends...

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I made using a brand new mini kit thats now available at "Create a smile stamps"!!

This mini kit is called "Wonderful winter" and it is full of a gorgeous range of products to create lots of cards....

In the kit you get designer papers, stamp set, chipboards, stencil, stickers, a die cut set and alpha stickers!!

I decided to make a shaker card for this one so I did a subtle background using the stencil and some hickory smoke distress oxide ink and then die cut a circle for my shaker piece....

I filled the shaker piece with a mix of pretty sequins for lots of shakeable bling...

Once the shaker was all finished I then added on my coloured images from the stamp set included in the kit. I coloured these using Copic markers!!

I added a couple of sentiments which work so perfect with this puzzled snowman...

I just love this new kit, it's so fun and great value with everything that you get in it!!

Hope you enjoy my new card and happy crafting everyone,

Brewtiful day....!!

Hey everyone...

Tonight I have some new "Miss Ink Stamps" inspiration for you and I'm using again the fabulous "Brewtiful" stamp set because I'm totally loving it!!

I'm also really enjoying making cards colouring with grey tones and adding pops of colour so this is the idea that this card is based from...

I first stamped the X coffee mug image and then added in the coffee elements stamp on both edges. Then using my Copics I coloured them with C00, C1, C3...

I then added a sentiment above the images "Have a brewtiful day" along with the "You mocha me happy" sentiment underneath the images!!

(Both sentiments also form Brewtiful stamp set)...

To add the pop of colour to the cards I stamped the coffee flowers and leaves and coloured them with my Copics in the colours E40, E41, E42, YG01, YG23, YG25....

Then to finish off the cards a touch of sequins from the Vegas baby Catherine Pooler sequins mix!!

I really hope you enjoy this coffee themed card, perfect for that coffee loving friend...
Happy crafting everyone and a very merry Christmas eve to you all!!

Time to celebrate....!!

Hi everyone....

Unfortunately this is my last post as a guest designer at "SugarPea designs"...

I have had an absolute blast creating these projects to inspire you and I really hope you have enjoyed them too!!

For my last card I have used the SPD stencil "Wave" along with the stamp "You're my type" and also the die for "You're my type"!!

I love the You're my type die because you can use it as a stand alone cut as well as with the co-ordinating stamp set....

To create this card I first made an ink blended piece by using the wave stencil with some distress oxides in the shades mermaid lagoon and picked raspberry.
I then cut the panel down, backed it with some bright pink cardstock and added it to a white card base....

Using the numbers die out of the You're my type set I die cut them out of some of the leftover ink blended panel and added them onto the card using NUVO liquid glue!

I die cut all the layers of the typewriter out of white cardstock and then heat embossed each piece with these colours of WOW! embossing powder....

- Love is the drug
- Primary blue topaz
- Mettaline violet

A fun birthday sentiment added onto the typewriter paper makes its perfect for a bright and cheery birthday card!!

After assembling the typewriter all together I added it to the inked panel...

A touch of sequins and it was all finished!!

Thankyou SO much for having me SugarPea designs, I'm sure I will have more SPD inspiration to share with you all on my socials in the future....

Happy crafting everyone, Hugs Ashlee.

Punnet of happy mail....!!

Hey everyone...

I've got a new card to share with you that I made using a whole bunch of different brands...

As you all probably know by now I absolutely love using "WOW! embossing" powder on my cards so this one features a plaid piece along with a punnet both embossed with WOW! Metallic gold rich!!...

The punnet is a die from "Technique tuesday" called "Berry basket"...

It's such a cool die, it also comes with some berry's you can die cut and add in to it as well but for this one I really wanted to add in the super cute images from "Waffle flower crafts" called "Let love grow"....

I coloured all the images up with copic and added them into the punnet...

I've used different layers of foam tape for different dimensions on the card!!

The plaid table cloth I made using a background stamp from "MFT" called "All lined up" and then die cut the edge with "Stitched scallop basic edges"....

Of course my usual touch I finished off the card with some sequins, these ones are from "Catherine Pooler"!!

Our theme over at the WOW! embossing powder fans Facebook page this month is Gold/Silver and if you create a card and share with us you have the chance to win some shopping dollars for the WOW! embossing store!!

If you feel like doing some shopping you can always use my discount code WOWDTAB for 10% off your order....

Happy embossing everyone, Hugz Ashlee.

Christmas madness....!

Hey my crafty friends...

I've got a new card to share with you using some fun products from "Create a smile stamps" latest release....

To start this card I made a fun feature sky panel by blending a range of distress oxide inks and then added a bit of distress ink black soot around the edges.

I added in some snow to the panel by flicking on some opaque white Copic paint mixed with a little water!!

It was then on to creating a couple of snowy tree's for the scene...

I die cut two of the "Christmas tree" cool cut dies and embossed them with WOW! Jealous guy powder. Once that colour was embossed I drew on where I wanted snow using the WOW! Freestyle tool and then tipped on White puff powder. Using my dual heat gun from WOW! I embossed the white puff, giving a fun texture to the trees!!

I added the two trees to the oxide ink panel with some foam tape for dimension....

I thought it would be so cute to have two of the little mice from the "Mouse au chocolat" set peeking out from behind the trees so I stamped, coloured with Copic, cut them out and added them behind the trees!

How cute is this main image of Santa, hehe he looks so grumpy!!
He is from the set "No presents", perfect to use as fun cards for friends and family that don't give any present ideas.

A touch of sequins finished off my Christmas madness card...

I hope you enjoy it, Hugz Ashlee

Thanks a latte....!!

Hey everyone....
I have a card to share with you that I made using the gorgeous "Miss Ink stamps" set "Brewtiful"....
A card with shaded images and pops of colour makes for a great thank you card!!

To create this card I stamped the X mug image with Memento tuxedo black ink three times down my card panel. Then using Copics I shaded them with C0, C1, C3.

I thought it would be fun to add pops of colour by die cutting some strips of ease die cuts from Heffy doodle out of different colours of cardstock and then adding on some sentiments (also from the brewtiful set)....

I added the strips of ease cuts with foam tape to the card base for added dimension and then finished off the card with a touch of sequins for some bling!!
I hope you like my card for today, happy crafting everyone.

Buzzing by....!!

Hey everyone...

Im up on the blog today at "SugarPea designs" and I have a set of tags to share with you that I made using the fabulous sugarcut "Beautiful bauble"!!

To create these tags I first cut three of each of the base piece and the stitched circle using white cardstock. Then using the "Honeycomb" stencil I added on some honeycomb with distress oxide in Mustard seed and Wild honey.

It was then time to add on all my elements to the stitched white circles...

I used a mix of the sentiments from the "Hey honey" stamp set and stamped them with Memento Tuxedo black ink!!

I then added the bee hive to all three tags by stamping just a partial piece of the image also with Memento tuxedo black ink!!

Of course I needed to add some super cute bee's to the mix from the "Hey honey" set so using the same distress oxide ink colours as I used on the stencil I stamped out a few of the bodies and then added the wings layer with tuxedo black ink...

Once all the bee's were stamped I die cut them with the co-ordinating "Hey honey dies"!

Using Mustard seed distress oxide Ink i stamped a bunch of the cute little heart and circle elements on each tag.

Using some foam tape I added the stitched circle piece to the centre of each tag base giving it some added dimension and finished each tag off with some pretty ribbon!!

I think these tags will be perfect to add to friends gifts...
I really hope you like them and feel inspired to create your own set of tags!!

Happy crafting, Hugs Ashlee.

It moose be....!!

Hey everyone....

I'm up on the blog at "Gerda Steiner designs" with this Moose card which I think would work well for a male birthday card!!

I created a sparkly base using some coloured cardstock, a stencil from Heffy doodle called Circles of life along with some WOW! embossing powder Wanderlust.....

I then used the Chalkboard frames from Catherine Pooler and embossed them with WOW! Fairy tale powder....

How cute is this big moose from the "Moose love" set Gerda created??!!

I coloured him up with my Copics and added him to look like he was popping out from the centre of the frames....

It was then time to add a heat embossed sentiment from the same Moose love stamp set and to do that I used the same coloured cardstock I used as my base and heat embossed with WOW! opaque bright white!!

Finishing off the card with a touch of sequins....

Hope you like this birthday card, Happy crafting!!

Wanna hug from Out West....??!!

Hey everyone....

Yipppeee the brand new release at "Catherine Pooler" Out West collection is now live in the store and ready for you to come and purchase your goodies!!

Like every month Catherine has released another fabulous collection that is SO much fun to create with, your totally going to want it all!!

Here is a card I made using the "Wanna hug bundle" and I just can't get enough of it...
This bundle is so cute I just love these little cacti....

I just had to use the awesome new background stamp Dessert diamonds so I grabbed out my CP inks in the shades Fiesta blue and Something borrowed and created a blended ombre with the two....

Using those same two ink colours I stamped out some pots from Wanna hug stamp set and created a blend of the two for them as well so that they matched in with the background!!

I stamped out two different cacti and coloured them with Spectrum noir ti-blend markers!!

"Be your own kind of beautiful"...
I just love this sentiment its so sweet, stamped with Midnight CP ink

To finished off the card I added a touch of the new "Santa Fe sequins mix"....
How pretty are those sequin colours right?!

I hope you enjoy my new release inspiration, I'll be back with more very soon for you!!

Peace on earth.....!!

Hey everyone....

I've got some new inspiration for you today using the new release at "Miss Ink stamps"....

This card features images from the "Calm and bright" stamp set all coloured with Copic!!

- YG25, YG95, E40, E42, E44, E47, T0, T2, T4, YR27

To create this card I first masked off a rectangle on a white card base using some masking tape and then blended on some distress oxide ink in the shades Mermaid lagoon and Blueprint sketch. I then gave it a splatter of Copic opaque what paint that I mixed with a little water.

Using a die from "Hello Sweetums" called "Slippery slopes" I die cut some slopes and heat embossed them with WOW! Nice ice blue embossing powder for beautiful sparkly slopes!!

I also added in a fun slope stitched element to the background using the same Hello Sweetums die...

I added on the Peace on earth sentiment stamped with Hero arts ink and finished off with a touch of CP sequins for a bit more bling!!

I think this card turned out so sparkly and perfect for a wintery Christmas....
What do you think?!

I hope your inspired to create some more Christmas cards with these lovely MIS products....

From our house to yours....!!

Hey everyone....

I'm loving creating Christmas tags at the moment and these gorgeous new products from the latest "Miss ink stamps" release are perfect for them!!

I've used a mix of stamps for these....

To create the tags I first stamped a red piece of cardstock with the Woodcut floral background and then die cut out pieces from the Honeybee stamps scallop square gift tag....
(some pieces in the red stamped cardstock and some in white)

For this first tag I coloured in the holiday house image with spectrum noir tri-blend markers and die cut a piece from it with one of the scallop tag dies so that it fit perfectly on the tag....

This second tag features a fun sentiment from the seasons greetings set and the cute little mouse from snow buddies....

For the last tag I added a tree stamped from the oh deer set along with another cute little mouse and sentiment....

All of them were finished off with sequins from the Christmas cove and Crater lake Catherine Pooler sequin mixes!!

I can't wait to add these to some Christmas gifts this year!!

Hope you enjoy them and feel inspired to start creating some holiday gift tags...
