Shake it, shake it....!!

Hi everyone....

Its creative challenge time at "Craftin Desert Divas" and the
theme we had to follow is Shaker card!!

Now I don't know about you but I LOVE me a shaker card!!

Recently I had seen a tip from a lady on instagram called "Nickynoocards" to use a storage pouch to create a borderless shaker card so I just had to give it a go.

I used the beautiful stamp set called "Hello beautiful" for this one...
along with a mix of sequins from the "Shimmer" mix and the "Fairy dust" mix.

The thank you sentiment I framed with the die "Inside scalloped circles".

The flowers I coloured up with Copics.

I hope you are inspired by all the lovely creations for the
CDD Creative challenge shaker card theme!!

Happy crafting, hugz Ashlee

For kids....!!

Hey everyone...

Its time for a new challenge at "Create a smile" challenge blog and this
fortnight our theme is "for kids"...

I thought it would be fun to create a magical imaginative rainbow coming out of the
open book with some pretty unicorns floating around  from the "superpowers" set...
of course a touch of sequins was needed for some bling!!

All the images I coloured up with Copics and the rainbow was inked with
distress oxide inks...

I hope you will come on over to the Create a smile blog and join us in this fun challenge....
there is even an awesome prize of voucher up for grabs for the CAS store!!

Obsessed with distress oxides...!!

Hey everyone....

We have a new designer creative challenge at "Craftin desert Divas" and our theme to follow was obsessed with distress oxides....

Well I can tell you I am obsessed with these inks, I use them ALL the time!!

They are so nice to create backgrounds with as they blend
so smoothly and give a lovely chalky type finish.

I usually splatter my oxides with water for a splotchy effect but for this card
I left it as is and used some texture paste over top with the "Swirl" stencil.

The stamp set I used on this card is called "Skatin by" from the previous CDD release...
and I coloured up the cool little skaters using Copics.

I added a touch of CDD sequins to the card to finish it off!!

Have fun hoping along the creative challenge to see what everyone has created with their oxide inks...

Shell YEAH....!!

Hey everyone....

I'm officially a roadie....got my first "Ink road stamps" order the other
day and I quickly had to stamp some up!!

It was packaged so beautifully, even with a free gift an ink pad and some sequins...
I really enjoyed opening it all up.

I purchased the awesome new mermaid bundle along with a few other stamps sets.

I made a fun little background using the full circle stamp set along with a couple of accent stamps from the mermaid set with Altenew inks...

Once I added my images... (coloured with Copics and Nuvo pens) I added a couple of sequins and water droplets to finish it off.

I really enjoyed creating my card using Ink road products,
I hope you like it too!!

Sending happy mail...!!

Hey everyone....

Im stopping in with a late night post...

This card I made for a fellow crafter using the super cool "Heffy doodle
stamps called "Oceans of love"....
It is such a fun set and definitely one of my favourites
from their most recent release!!

The glittered piece I made using the Heffy stencil called "bubble waves" and texture paste with some Elizabeth crafts glitter mixed in...It turned out so sparkly!!
Once it was all dry I cut apart the stencilled piece and layered it for a different effect.

The large "sending" sentiment is also from hefty doodle.

All the images are coloured up using Copic.

Of course I had to add a few sequins sprinkled around to finish it all off!!

I hope you have enjoyed my card and I sure hope my recipient will too...

So glad.....!!

Hey everyone...

Tonight I'm stopping by with a card I made using the adorable stamp set from

It's such a gorgeous set of cute little penguins,
perfect to use for any occasion not just valentines !!

I seen a fun technique lately by Olga Moss using adhesive with a sequin
coverage, I couldn't wait to try it, it just looked stunning....

This is my go at the technique...
I used a stencil from CDD and inked it up using some distress oxides,
I then covered the piece in a double sided adhesive before running it through my die cut machine to cut the circle. Once that was all done I removed the adhesive covering and sprinkled some tiny little heart sequins all over.
Such a fun technique, will certainly be using it again!!

Happy crafting everyone,
Hugz Ashlee
